Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. ...and they BELIEVE IT! Such a sad, sad bunch of suckers and losers.

[–] seathru@lemmy.sdf.org 37 points 4 months ago (2 children)

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1

It's basically a cognitive dissonance conference.

[–] Riccosuave@lemmy.world 24 points 4 months ago

It's basically a cognitive dissonance conference.

You have also managed to successfully describe attending religious services.

They'll believe whatever suits them to prop up their delusional world view. And they'll refuse to acknowledge any facts that contradict it.

[–] InternetUser2012@midwest.social 3 points 4 months ago

They believe whatever fox "news" tells them to. They don't have their own world view, just the view they're told to have.

I honestly think if he took his shirt off it would cost him the election.

Seeing the flabby, 78-year-old American physique in all its glory would be both a literal and figurative "emperor has no clothes" moment for many of his cultists.

[–] CynicRaven@lemmy.world 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

He'd just need to have some acrylic flab sculpting armor like Immortan Joe.

The quote gets even crazier.

Really!? You were treated the worst of any president?! Lincoln was assassinated!!

And 160 years later his legacy has been coopted by the same sort of people who killed him to begin with.

[–] rayyy@lemmy.world 17 points 4 months ago

2024 years later Jesus' legacy has been co-opted by the same sort of people who killed him to begin with.

[–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

And his wounds weren’t from a dominatrix like Drumpf’s.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 6 points 4 months ago

I don’t think he has the self awareness to be a sub

[–] todd_bonzalez@lemm.ee 64 points 4 months ago (2 children)

We need to bait him into rallying in a liberal city. We could all show up and pretend to take him seriously and just wait for him to say something insane like this.

Then we could just yes-man him into doing embarrassing stuff. Hell yeah Mr. President, show us your beautiful wounded body. Take that shirt off. Do us a little dance. Jump up and down or something. C'mon, do a little fat man dance.

[–] GrabtharsHammer@lemmy.world 33 points 4 months ago

America First, you gotta do the truffle shuffle.

[–] jeffw@lemmy.world 11 points 4 months ago

He had a rally in Philly today

[–] NeptuneOrbit@lemmy.world 57 points 4 months ago (1 children)

In particular, Jesus showing off his wounds was the big evidence it was him and he had come back from the dead. He isn't just being weird in front of religious people. He is selling himself as the new messiah.

[–] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 20 points 4 months ago (1 children)

He is selling himself as the new messiah.

Aka being weird in front of religious people.

[–] NeptuneOrbit@lemmy.world 11 points 4 months ago

Yes but in a very specific way.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 37 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Leaning pretty hard on religion lately, isn’t he?

[–] FinalRemix@lemmy.world 15 points 4 months ago

Well, his brain doesn't work anymore, so... what else can he lean on?

[–] eran_morad@lemmy.world 34 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Guy’s fucked in the head.

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 16 points 4 months ago

His sleepy followers will believe anything. If we are the woke then they are the comatose.

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 30 points 4 months ago

How do they get through all the fat to see?

[–] RunningInRVA@lemmy.world 28 points 4 months ago (1 children)

So fat and no scars. Got it.

[–] magi@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 4 months ago

Stretch mark battle wounds

[–] thefartographer@lemm.ee 27 points 4 months ago (1 children)

You heard it here first: God gave Trump herpes

Show us where the deity touched you.

[–] mechoman444@lemmy.world 21 points 4 months ago (1 children)

If at all possible for a myriad of reasons, can we please leave your shirt on?

Ok, but why does this picture make me think he just wants to rub his nipples?

[–] Rottcodd@lemmy.world 20 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (5 children)

I'm pretty sure that if he took his shirt off, we'd just see how much he looks like Baron Harkonnen.

No need to threaten us with an optical weapon of mass destruction.

[–] TokenBoomer@lemmy.world 16 points 4 months ago

I have to laugh, to stop myself from crying 😭

[–] 0110010001100010@lemmy.world 16 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Do it you orange traitor, show your followers how full of shit you truly are.

[–] uebquauntbez@lemmy.world 16 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

Beauty is skin deep only. Stupidity to the core.

[–] AbouBenAdhem@lemmy.world 15 points 4 months ago

The Emperor’s New Stigmata.

[–] Passerby6497@lemmy.world 14 points 4 months ago

Like when he held a bible upside down in a photo op in front of a church after having things clear protestors out?

Such wounds

Much defence

Wow

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 12 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

And you'd see the line where the fake spray tan ends too. Looking like an upside down orange thermometer.

Those are bed sores, sir. Hospitals must special order beds for those.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 11 points 4 months ago

My word, this guy is so ridiculous. What a world we live in where it is THIS dumbass that may slither into office, again. Then again, Hitler was a total idiot, too.

[–] roguetrick@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago

He had to jump in front of those dangerous hamberders to save Jesus.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 4 months ago

Is that what a lumpy piece of shit looks like? Beautiful with wounds? We must be using different thesauruses.

[–] DMBFFF@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

Stormy might have seen him without his shirt.
