Probably just the usual provocations and deranged negotiation tactics, but, I'm just gonna go ahead and say it: The US President-elect is a freakin' moron. Not that we didn't already know that, but America walked right into this lunacy with eyes wide open, fully aware. We deserve everything that's coming.

If what scientists are saying about upcoming shortages of fresh water, Canada and Greenland would be brilliant moves...

TRump could perhaps even name such a new visionary system of exchange after himself: "TRade"?
We could further honour him by naming the negotiated parameters a "TRade agreement"?
I dunno. This is some fucking bleeding edge international relations concepts, I'm certainly not equipped to wrap my head around such forward thinking.

I'm pretty sure if Greenland went from the Denmark socialist system to America's Late stage capitalist hell hold, that would just start a civil war.
Don't know if you're kidding or not, but Denmark is not a socialist country. It's a capitalist country, except one that actually works.
To US citizens, any Universal Healthcare is socialist.

Wait until he takes office. One of his cabinet picks isn't going to make it, and he'll threaten to nuke the Bahamas in retaliation because they're surrounded by too much water and that's not fair to the US. He demands that that water be returned to the Great Salt Lake where it belongs so it can be used to solve all of the water crisis in the country and Make America Wet again.
Then Stormy daniels will chime in and remind us that Trump is incapable of getting anyone wet.
So America First is less about nationalism and isolationism, and more about building an empire?

To keep this straight, the US military deployment orders for 2025 are 25th Infantry to Panama, 3rd Armor to Northern Mexico, 11th Airborne to Greenland, 101st Air Assault to Syria, 82nd Airborne to Lebanon, and Special Service to Gaza.
I'm excited to hear where they're sending 10th Mountain.
Probably to Alaska to make everyone call it Mt. McKinley. Because where else is Trump going to think to put 10th Mountain?
Someone should sell him a fake, mocked-up Greenland, fly him there for a photo shoot, and disappear with the money. And leave him stranded too.
