Rules (2024-08-30)

  1. This is an English-language community. Comments should be in English. Posts can link to non-English news sources when providing a full-text translation in the post description. Automated translations are fine, as long as they don't overly distort the content.
  2. No links to misinformation or commercial advertising. When you post outdated/historic articles, add the year of publication to the post title. Infographics must include a source and a year of creation; if possible, also provide a link to the source.
  3. Be kind to each other, and argue in good faith. Don't post direct insults nor disrespectful and condescending comments. Don't troll nor incite hatred. Don't look for novel argumentation strategies at Wikipedia's List of fallacies.
  4. No bigotry, sexism, racism, antisemitism, dehumanization of minorities, or glorification of National Socialism.
  5. Be the signal, not the noise: Strive to post insightful comments. Add "/s" when you're being sarcastic (and don't use it to break rule no. 3).
  6. If you link to paywalled information, please provide also a link to a freely available archived version. Alternatively, try to find a different source.
  7. Light-hearted content, memes, and posts about your European everyday belong in !yurop@lemm.ee. (They're cool, you should subscribe there too!)
  8. Don't evade bans. If we notice ban evasion, that will result in a permanent ban for all the accounts we can associate with you.
  9. No posts linking to speculative reporting about ongoing events with unclear backgrounds. Please wait at least 12 hours. (E.g., do not post breathless reporting on an ongoing terror attack.)

(This list may get expanded when necessary.)

We will use some leeway to decide whether to remove a comment.

If need be, there are also bans: 3 days for lighter offenses, 14 days for bigger offenses, and permanent bans for people who don't show any willingness to participate productively. If we think the ban reason is obvious, we may not specifically write to you.

If you want to protest a removal or ban, feel free to write privately to the mods: @federalreverse@feddit.org, @poVoq@slrpnk.net, or @anzo@programming.dev.

Guess I don't have to place this party on a political compass, right?

How do these stupid parties always manage to fuck this up? How hard can it be to hire some models or get some stock images?

[โ€“] GregorGizeh@lemmy.zip 24 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I would guess the amount of textbook Aryan nuclear families willing to be the faces of a race based political campaign are fairly slim, even if they believe in the cause.

Far right AfD used exactly this, but flipped it to make him use his right arm to salute.

[โ€“] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago (2 children)

They tend to not be the sharpest tools in the shed.

[โ€“] pdxfed@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

Their function is just to be tools, not sharp ones.

Sometimes it's incompetence, or time constraints. Sometimes it's deliberate, as anything to get people talking and your message traveling farther. Sometimes the sheer volume of crap your side is putting out prevents any sort of budget for professionals. Sometimes it's Darwinian, push out a firehose worth of content and see what rises to the top.

Girl on the left has like 15 fingers, guy has about 4 joints on his right arm for the angle its showed at

Behold! The pinnacle of human evolution.

[โ€“] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago

Members of lesser races won't understand.

[โ€“] TachyonTele@lemm.ee 6 points 3 months ago

His knees are upside down, too.

[โ€“] Cheradenine@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 months ago

His right hand is actually a 6 toed foot, his left appears to be a hand but has 6 fingers.

As far as ubermensch stuff goes, well, all daughters, might as well be shooting blanks.

[โ€“] Zagorath@aussie.zone 2 points 3 months ago

It's bizarre. Surely they could easily have found one family, or a handful of blond/e models to take this photo for real.

[โ€“] PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca 34 points 3 months ago

This type of crap is all over Canada too. A bunch of right wing โ€œtake this country back to the good old days where minorities were publicly shunnedโ€ campaigns using AI generated images for mundane shit, like smiling families or farmers markets.

Canโ€™t even use a real picture of a farmers market, gotta make it with AI.

[โ€“] Mikina@programming.dev 24 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

That's not even the worst poster they have. They also have this one:

Healtcare shortcomings won't be solved by imported 'surgeons'

Stop the EU migration pact

I hate those pieces of shit so much. And this is a real election campaign poster.

[โ€“] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I think this poster should be taken to court. I'm pretty sure explicitly labelling a group of people as killers (as this poster does) is against the law.

[โ€“] Mikina@programming.dev 2 points 3 months ago

I think it eventually got challenged and banned. The response from the SPD party was "We were just getting started, our campaing will be even more harsh."

It is just a bunch of idiots, what can I say.

[โ€“] poVoq@slrpnk.net 13 points 3 months ago (1 children)

What do you mean? That's a perfectly fine Aryan model family. /s

[โ€“] KasimirDD 8 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yes, absolutely! Still looking 17 after three children must be down to superior genes.

[โ€“] Zagorath@aussie.zone 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Still looking 17 after three children

๐Ÿ˜ฎ

That's supposed to be the mumโ€ฝ I just assumed she was the oldest daughter, and the mum was not in the photo.

[โ€“] KasimirDD 4 points 3 months ago

Family values ...

[โ€“] Zagorath@aussie.zone 12 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I don't speak Czech, but I assume that bottom quote is saying "it's not extremism, it's normal"?

[โ€“] stepan@lemmy.cafe 9 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It says: It's not extremism to be normal.

[โ€“] DarkThoughts@fedia.io 6 points 3 months ago

Normal = white blonde mutants with dead eyes.

[โ€“] IndiBrony@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago (3 children)

I got Yandex to translate it into English for those who need it. It's not perfect, but I think the message is pretty clear.

[โ€“] loutr@sh.itjust.works 24 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Google Lens seems to do better, and the bottom line makes the whole thing even more dumb.

[โ€“] Tamkish@programming.dev 13 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

CZ speaker here, this translation is accurate, the bottom texts that are part of the logos got bit jumbled. The main one at the bottom should be more like "...and these are fighting for you"

The blue circle with flag could be roughly translated as "Czechia against [casual way of saying things being expensive]"

Also fun fact, SPD stands for Svit Pล™รญmรฉ Demokracie which means "the Shine of Direct/Plain Democracy"

anyway I'm going to go vomit now

[โ€“] IndiBrony@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Yeah I would have preferred to have used Lens but I was on desktop rather than my phone. It's slightly bemusing how Lens is mobile only.

[โ€“] Zagorath@aussie.zone 6 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Oh I had the same idea, but with Google. Its translation comes across as likely to be more accurate to me.

I like how the quote at the bottom on yours is just...actually true, unlike the presumably intended message.

[โ€“] samus12345@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

It really butchered the bottom line.

[โ€“] LANIK2000@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago (2 children)

As a Czech person I'm quite creeped out. Like ignoring the horror of AI generated nightmares. It's just fucking weird. That's like the least Czech family I can imagine (without changing skin color). Who the fuck is this supposed to appeal to?

[โ€“] Oneser@lemm.ee 6 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

Swedes maybe? Or is there a significant population of Czechs with 48 fingers on each hand?

[โ€“] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 2 points 3 months ago

Only if they are Habsburgs

[โ€“] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 2 points 3 months ago

I was just going to say this too. They don't look Czech. And 100% Aryan is definitely not normal.

[โ€“] federalreverse 7 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Weird how blonde hair depends on a recessive trait and thus actual blondes are such a low percentage of the population they apparently couldn't find real models but blonde hair is also the mark of the super-strong mah store race.

[โ€“] illi@lemm.ee 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

They even chose fully blonde family (or "family" most likely?).

Jdu blejt velebnosti.

[โ€“] poVoq@slrpnk.net 9 points 3 months ago (2 children)

It's very likely AI generated, and the prompt must have been very explicit.

[โ€“] loutr@sh.itjust.works 7 points 3 months ago

It definitely is, look at the fingers.

[โ€“] illi@lemm.ee 1 points 3 months ago

Sigh of course it is. The sentiment still applies, but maybe a bit stronger

[โ€“] intelisense@lemm.ee 5 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Everyone is talking about the number of fingers... but what about those dead eyes? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

[โ€“] Quittenbrot 3 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Those at least could be real...

Looks bourgeois as fuck
