Sunscreen was invented in 1946, it looks like. Our ability to diagnose cancer has come a long, long way since then. So it would likely be difficult or impossible to answer this question, since 50 year old data about skin cancer incidence will be lower than modern level simply due to diagnostic advances.

Back in the day it was normal to die of skin cancer at 30. These days, we prefer to avoid it.

Well last time it happened for such a prolonged period was 1930-1945, so the precedent isn’t great.

Yeah some people here can be dicks. I’ve needed to block a couple people, and join an instance with disabled downvotes, and now it’s a lot better.

I’m 99% sure possiblylinux was being sarcastic

Ah yes. I’m very scared of a French/German/Italian/Lichtensteinian Invasion.

It’s totally smart to have obligatory military service in these circumstances, and to force every man to have a gun in his home for defense, and to force every home to build an underground bunker. (Our government is paranoid asf). And the arms industry have strong lobby.

No. Not everyone have it. And this is not true. Health insurance can cost over 20%.

I am not insured because I cannot afford it. Which means I am technically breaking the law.

Only left wing states like geneva, which also has that minimum wage, offer those generous subsidies.

I would not trust a website made for rich expats.

I know of peertube, which is similar to youtube.

But is there anything that is similar to instgram reels, tiktok type stuff.

I imagine it doesn’t exist because the hosting costs would be exorbitant, but I’m curious incase something like it does?

Lithuania installed "dragon's teeth" and mines in front of the bridge on the border with the Kaliningrad region

"This is a precautionary step to ensure more effective defense," the Lithuanian Defense Ministry said on Twitter. The ministry explained that the Queen Louise Bridge is Russian property, so Lithuania cannot install "dragon's teeth" and mines on the bridge itself, but only in front of it.
