2023 Minnesota law Walz signed mandating free menstruation products in all public school restrooms used by students in grades four to 12.

Yep, that's a scarlet badge of honor in my book.

[–] bitchkat@lemmy.world 16 points 3 months ago

And we also provide free breakfast and lunch to students. In his own words "what a monster!"

Yet another example of their weird obsession with the female reproductive system.

[–] _bcron@midwest.social 60 points 3 months ago (4 children)

It's not really weird if you look at it like their brains quit developing at 8 years old. Their entire platform is basically 'vaginas are gross, school is dumb, I want a bigger allowance, and stranger danger'

[–] lennybird@lemmy.world 15 points 3 months ago

Fun fact: conservative brains have larger amygdalas, leading to greater response and sensitivities to fear and disgust.

They also have smaller Anterior Cingulate Cortexes which relate to... Pattern recognition and pattern dissonance lol.

So if you know conservatives with a strong fear and disgust response while also being literally incapable of seeing their own hypocrisy / cognitive dissonance... This is why.

Republicans love developing 8 year old brains.

So much that they will travel overseas and pay to have sex with it.

Except for Vance, he prefers his partners neuron-less

It seems many of them got beat up in school and never got laid.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 months ago

Could've been quite the charming yaoi redemption arc, though. Aw, so sad they missed out. 🤷🏼‍♂️

[–] harrys_balzac@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 months ago

They are the stranger danger.

Weird fat Dotard Trump was LITERALLY physically wearing a tampon on his head only weeks ago 😆🤣😭

But now he’s really trying to ‘stop the bleeding’

TAMPON DON 👂🧻

This doesn't directly relate, but Iggy Pop once said he doesn't mind to be seen cross dressing because he doesn't consider it to be a negative thing to be a woman. They think Tampon Tim is a slam, because they think being compared to/associated with a woman is demeaning. Take note republican women, they don't respect you.

[–] Fondots@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

For a brief moment I thought you'd gotten Iggy Pop and Suzy/Eddie Izzard confused because I cross dressing might involve wearing a shirt, which Iggy pop isn't known for

But sure enough, it was Iggy Pop, him in a dress is probably the closest I've ever seen to him wearing a shirt.

[–] juice702@lemmy.world 78 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yeah I’m sure the monicker is just destroying poor Mr Walz. What’s next, “Free Food for the Kids Tim”? I’m sure he’d hate that!

[–] tiefling@lemmy.blahaj.zone 40 points 3 months ago (1 children)
[–] Lookorex@lemm.ee 8 points 3 months ago

That, was amazing

[–] CobblerScholar@lemmy.world 77 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Shamelessly stolen joke but of course he's Tampon Tim, aren't tampons what you use to help stop a red wave?

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 months ago (2 children)

They are also good for packing certain types of wounds, because well blood is blood and Khorne cares not where it flows from.

I'm voting for Tampon Tim!

They really need to come up with less weird nicknames. It says more about them than it does the people they’re trying to make fun of.

Doesn't have the same impact as Couch-fucker JD, IMO

[–] Stern@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

The heterosectional

[–] zbyte64@awful.systems 2 points 3 months ago

That guy who likes to shit on veterans and poor people? You mean that sofa fucking JD Vance?

[–] NineMileTower@lemmy.world 22 points 3 months ago
[–] fubo@lemmy.world 21 points 3 months ago

The right wing persists in pursuing the incel vote, I see.

[–] PrincessLeiasCat@sh.itjust.works 17 points 3 months ago

Said by the people who proudly wear maxi pads on their ears.

[–] kescusay@lemmy.world 15 points 3 months ago

Can you imagine Ronald Reagan whipping out incredibly stupid and weird nicknames like that? The man was a terrible president and did real harm to the country, but at least he was able to talk like an actual grown-up.

Seriously, can you imagine him suddenly dropping moronic nicknames for Carter or Mondale? The Republican party circa 1979 would have dumped him immediately and consigned him to the dustbin of history.

And they would have called his antics "weird."

[–] Leate_Wonceslace@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 3 months ago

Oh no, he's concerned with women's Reproductive Rights, medical care, and hygiene! What a comprehensive list of the absolute worst qualities a person could have.

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 12 points 3 months ago

We know. This lame story with no legs has already been posted sixteen times.

[–] Akasazh@feddit.nl 11 points 3 months ago

I don't care and don't see why I should

[–] recapitated@lemmy.world 11 points 3 months ago
[–] ATDA@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

I mean better than "Crusty Cushion" anyway.

[–] originalucifer@moist.catsweat.com 7 points 3 months ago (4 children)

he needs to embrace it at the rallies. take it back

[–] Dabundis@lemmy.world 11 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Tampon Tim will stop the Red Wave \o/

[–] Zerlyna@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)
[–] Dabundis@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

I didn't come up with it myself, spread the good word lmao

[–] Empricorn@feddit.nl 10 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I don't know. That sort of legitimizes it, makes it seem normal that they are bringing it up. It's not, it's weird.

[–] Boddhisatva@lemmy.world 13 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I agree. He should just point out that it's weird for them to attack him over this. Making sure kids have food and menstrual products available to the ones that need them are good things.

[–] casmael@lemm.ee 2 points 3 months ago

Yeah now that you mention it, it does seem kinda weird to nickname your opponent based on a successful piece of legislation. Like the idea that this nickname in particular is a negative thing is so incredibly immature, it’s a bit odd. Maybe try again idk.

[–] PrincessLeiasCat@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 months ago

Just tell people he’s not the one who walks around in public with a maxi pad on his ear for no reason whatsoever.

I’m willing to bet the students using tampons at those middle/high schools follow the directions.

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Make Harris/Walz tampons and hand them out

[–] Dorkyd68@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

That's weird of them

[–] OutsizedWalrus@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

What out, Trump might try to grab him by the ….
