Only 3 self checkout lanes should be open per employee. If you have a self checkout area with 12 terminals, there have to be 4 employees to keep them all open.

Screw Walmart. During the storms here in NC, I went there to buy some relief supplies, and it was awesome to see the whole store getting picked apart by people buying supplies to donate. What was definitely not awesome was the only 3 checkout lanes open out of the total 12, because Walmart has a 3 per employee rule and they don't want to assign enough workers for the checkout lanes, even during times of crisis like this.

Delectable tea, or deadly poison?

Apparently my factory alignment was shit, and the tires are already up for replacement. The workshop I went to gives me three options. Please let me know if the prices look good, and which among the three would be the best choice.

  1. KENDA - 235/60R18 XL VEZDA TOURING 4S (KR211)

    • Good (according to the workshop)
    • $148 each, $724.67 total, $100 extra for alignment
    • 60,000 mile limited treadwear warranty
  2. BRIDGESTONE - 235/60R18 XL ALENZA AS ULTRA

    • Better
    • $259 each, $1256.14 total, $100 extra for alignment
    • 80,000 mile limited treadwear warranty
  3. YOKOHAMA - 235/60R18 AVID ASCEND LX

    • Best
    • $224 each, $1088.56 total, $100 extra for alignment
    • 85,000 mile limited treadwear warranty

Please recommend which one of these is a better set of tires, or if you have a better recommendation elsewhere.

Thanks!

I have been putting part of my paycheck into a high yield savings account, but haven't bothered with investing it in a responsible manner partially due a fear of losing the money due to bad investments. I'm finally realizing how much potential money I've lost by letting my money stagnate. Please advise me on how to responsibly invest my money, thanks!

I have iOS, and use MacBook/Linux.

EDIT: Wow! It’s impressive how many different ways there are to achieve this. I tried obsidian git, but couldn’t get it to work as expected. Remotely Save is working perfect! Obsidian flew under my radar all these days because I thought sync was the only way. I’m looking into plugins and there’s literally a thousand plugins. It’s kinda overwhelming tbh. I’ll make another post for plug-in recommendations and workflow setup advice. Thank you all!

In what can only be called a significant lack of self-awareness, New York U.S. Rep. George Santos, the serial fabulist under federal indictment on fraud charges, is crying foul.

For people who can’t read ancient texts, here’s the transcript.

Once upon a time there was a girl called BlueHair. One day the girl went outside to fight the Demon Dog Devil. But oh no! It started to rain even worse it was a thunderstorm. BlueHair tried to get shelter suddenly she saw a cave she ran into it and saw the Demon Dog Devil she didn’t have anything to fight it with. But suddenly out of nowere came a super sword it had a eye and had majical powers it fout the Demon Dog Devil and got friends with BlueHair! Together they lived happily ever after

The end.
