Are we incorrectly assuming he used "Hitler" as pejorative? I certainly think it is a bad thing, but he is a Repub so he could have meant it as praise.
Vance flipped from being a never-Trumper to being a Trump bootlicker when he figured out that he needed Trump's support to get into a position to fulfill his side of Theil's patronage.

Vance is an opportunist who will say or do anything that he perceives will get him power and attention. So, he's just like Trump.
As if Republicans care. Cults don't care about reality, and they won't care that it's obvious Vance stands for nothing.

Sure, but he's said a number of things that I agree with, too:
“I’m a Never Trump guy,” Vance said in an interview with Charlie Rose in 2016. “I never liked him.” In February of that year, he reportedly privately wondered whether “Trump was America’s Hitler.”
A few months later, when the infamous Trump Access Hollywood tape came out, Vance warned, “Fellow Christians, everyone is watching us. When we apologize for this man, lord help us.” Throughout 2016 and 2017, Vance liked tweets critical of Trump, including that he committed “serial sexual assault” and was “one of USA’s most hated, villainous, douchey celebs.” In a set of since deleted tweets, Vance also criticized Trump’s response to the 2017 neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, writing, “There is no moral equivalence between the anti-racist protestors in Charlottesville and the killer (and his ilk).”

Good. Doubling down with a MAGA-MAGA ticket brings minimal value. Pretty sure he already had all the MAGAs anyway. Probably thinks he's sure to win now and doesn't need a boost anymore, but that remains to be seen.
Was actually a little worried about a Rubio pick. Similar to picking Pence last time, would've been throwing the non-MAGAs a small bone.

JD Vance went to Yale Law; of course he won’t choose something over power. I mean, Thomas and Alito both went there. Their alumni page on Wikipedia has a “Law and Government” section and includes several people we know went to Epstein Island. Anyone who comes out of Yale Law with a single principle got it somewhere else.
What a terrible choice. Like Vance brings basically nothing to the ticket. Actually gives me some hope.
It does bring in some things for democrats, like really obvious attack ad ideas. Just play JD Vance's own comments about Trump, over and over again.
