Ah, even the name. Nice.

"We don't have any evidence (other than Yemen and very public statements) that Donald will do that, therefore we must collectively throw our ballots in the garbage for some reason."

I might try one second hand if they're cheap. Can any of these work without some idiotic third-party account?

... I'd replace the padding on any used device, though, that is a little gross now that I consider it.

I have never understood why you need to register ahead of time to vote in US. It seems like an unnecessary blocker.

No, you absolutely do understand perfectly.

Thank you! It sounds like a really interesting tool. I'd like to have a VPC sort of setup for my devices that I can connect to externally. I don't think I need the mesh aspect of it, I'd likely just have one VPN act as a hub. But I'll definitely look into this more. If it does routing for IPs a bit more conveniently that'd be worth it to me.

I thought you were the apple out of naive belief that people can reason with bigoted groups. But it seems like you are closer to being a member than an onlooker. That's really the point of the comic, isn't it? The apple is not participating in good faith.

If you can reason people out of the hatred, why do we still have any people at all denying the Holocaust happened? The Nazis documented it thoroughly.

Apple: I was a very far left leftist with strong values a d principles but then someone was rude to me on the internet and forced me to become a Nazi.

Me, too. But I definitely know about the dogwhistle when they phrase it as "stop noticing things." Subtlety makes it an effective dogwhistle. They will steal vocabulary and concepts from anywhere to spread their bigotry and hatred.

Oh, that's weird, because giving everyone an ID and passing these laws would end all non-citizens voting, so it sounds like a fine compromise to get what they are asking for. Almost as if they are lying about what they want, very curious.

Non-citizens vote in fewer numbers than Republicans' deceased grandparents.

Other developed countries have national IDs, don't they? I'm fine with arguing for dragging the US to civilization but you have the cart before the horse there if that's your justification for voter ID laws.
