Depends on what rom u got. Im on grapheneos and can force any app or notification to shut the fuck up.

In that case u might have some trouble. How did u remove play services in the first place u root it? If u got a pixel then just getting graphene os is wayy easy.

I switched off google play services in settings i didnt remove it using universal android debloater due to risks of bootlooping i also got a samsung

The only thing that could work - delete/disable/abandon the app and install an analog from f-droid. And even then you'll encounter these notifications a few times per day. I gave up and flashed the phone on a third day to a custom rom

Tasker or Buzzkill can cancel notifs as soon as they appear :)

I have MicroG and don't get those. I'm not sure it's what you are looking for...

idk if google allows you to disable this notification bcs i cannot get microg as a replacement it says invaild package even when its disabled the apps work fine (idk if it has to do with google play services being installed by default) and i dont want roms rn bcs the phone gets important updates

[–] dwindling7373@feddit.it 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

How did you degoogle exactly?

I flashed a degoogle OS (Lineage) and immediatly flashed MicroG, before the first boot.

I was under the assumption this was the proper way to do it, but it's been years at this point, maybe I misremember or maybe stuff have changed.

idk if this is right to do but i removed google playstore (replaced it with aurora store and bcs it needs a account to use as well) and switched off google services (according to my debloater app google play services can bootloop the device which i dont want)

I suspect you may have gone at it in a bit of a brutal way that I'm not sure is entirely effective, but then again I guess in this community there are better judge for that than myself...

Oh thanks for the advice ig

Can you long press the notifications and mute them? Or take away the notifications permission of the specific app?

[–] Mwa@lemm.ee 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Some apps I can bcs they need firebase notifications to work correctly some are system apps they cannot be disabled

[–] 30p87 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

AutoNotification has been, to date, able to block/hide ANY notification reliably, even in the free version. Which reminds me, such a good app needs support so I'll get the full version now.

I block things like "App xy can view an control youe screen" (No shit, nova launcher needs to do that?) and messages by apps that let them run in the background, eg. Element.

Only seems to work for me about 5 minutes at a time. No battery optimization, allowed In the background etc. Still Android insists on reminding me that my battery is charged, and other totally uninteresting battery-related info.

[–] 30p87 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Which Android version do you have?

[–] tordenflesk@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

OxygenOS 12

[–] dipak@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 week ago (2 children)

See from the notification settings if this notification is categorized under some head. And if the category is not catch all, you may disable notification for that category. Otherwise blocking all notification or switching to alternative app would be the last option.

[–] Mwa@lemm.ee 5 points 1 week ago

disabling notifications for that firebase app works

[–] 0x0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Imagine if you could block notifications matching a regex

[–] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

It's not exactly a regex, but Buzzkill lets you get pretty granular with your filters.

[–] Tazerface@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I best I could do on my tablet was to put those notifications on "silent". They in my notification bar but the popup is gone.

[–] Mwa@lemm.ee 3 points 1 week ago

yeah i did that thanks to another comment but i wanna remove it from the system apps that dont let me disable it
