Trying to be the change I want to see in the world.

Partially yes, but there's an even more mundane reason; with nuclear weapons, if the other side has 5, you need 6: five to destroy their five, and one to destroy their capital. But when they discover that, they'll decide that they need seven: 6 to destroy your 6, and one to destroy your capital. Add in some uncertainty to that feedback loop, and an arms race immediately becomes an exponential curve moderated only by the amount of time production takes and the amount of resources each nation is willing to commit at any given time.

There's a very real way in which the proliferation of arms is, itself, an uncontrolled nuclear reaction.

This is the wrong community for a twist.

Whoops, I just assumed that since I used the web version on Windows, that was the only version available for windows. I had never even checked. Thanks!

Look, it's not my thing, but I have it on pretty good authority that philately is pretty rad.

That's a good point. I didn't think about that.

So I placed a grocery order a few days ago. I really only needed some herbs and spices, but to complete the full order I went ahead and ordered some stuff for dinner next week and a couple of splurge items. (I promise this will become relevant)

Anyway, they were having trouble with a few items, so my order got delayed, and I was starting to get frustrated. I was literally on the verge of canceling last night and just ordering it from a different store. But while I was scrolling Lemmy, I read your comment. And right as I was reading it, the doorbell rang.

And, well...

My thyme is finally here.

Pretty sure it's black on transparent. Not the most visible, especially if your client makes the background black.

Don't listen to that guy. You're in for a treat, my friend.

My bank's website is a pretty boring one, though.
