They're furious, questioning his sense and tactics. Even say he's acting like a child. And they'll still vote for him. So close...

At some point no matter the topic, everyone should ask themselves "what would it take to change my view".

If the answer is going to be "nothing will change my view", you may have a problem and should start questioning why nothing can change it.

As much as i agree, the self-awareness required is where this one stalls out

[–] Kekzkrieger 2 points 2 months ago

yep, most people lack that unfortunately

[–] PriorityMotif@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I won't change my mind about Donald Trump, change my mind.

discussing with stupid is like playing chess with a pigeon, you may play chess way better than that pigeon, but its gonna shit on the table, jump around all the figures throw them around like it's winning and there isnt a thing you can do about it.

It would take a LOT and over a LONG time and the best he could do is die without me thinking he was a COMPLETE cunt. But he could still drag himself back to "I guess in the end he wasnt all bad"

This ain’t just the Emperor with No Clothes, this is the Emperor running around naked and with dementia, telling people that “immigrants are eating your pets!” and “I hate taytay!”

It’s about time his cultists saw him for who and what he really is: fucking bonkers

[–] LEDZeppelin@lemmy.world 42 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Cultists see, cultists don’t care

Also doo doo all over the walls

Like, seriously… ugh…

At least if you had a bunch of socialists and/or (ugh) anarchists storming the Capitol, nobody would have smeared shit anywhere. At WORST, there would have been the spreading of stupid, rhetorical leaflets of one sort or another that incriminated someone, or perhaps, somehow delegitimized one position or another through some unforeseen hypocrisy or other silly illogic.

Whatever the issue, it would have been minor and inconsequential.

"you're not hurting the right people!"

He sees an attractive, successful young woman, and he tries to bully her to fulfill his weird fantasy. That's his schtik. Duh.

It's funny that you could be talking about Trump or Elon Musk here.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 38 points 2 months ago

Very good! He managed to piss off another group. Hopefully, some of his (female) followers will getting doubts. And doubts are good.

Answer: because he's a jealous idiot with the emotional maturity of a toddler

[–] loutr@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 months ago

A fan of his replied "It makes him look like he's 13". Well yeah, took you some time to catch on...

[–] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

He was riding the wave of an online movement he didn't understand but thought was entirely about him. It coalesced around him but wasn't about him and now the movement is starting to realize it as they get frustrated with Trump being Trump.

Just wait until it sinks in that he was conning them out of their money and was perfectly willing to sacrifice any or all of them at all points of this journey. Hell, I wouldn't at all be surprised if he was as disgusted by them as the left was, just for different reasons, and saw sacrificing them as a win/win.

I think we've found a motive for the shooter. He's a Republican Swiftie.

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 26 points 2 months ago

From what I've seen I'm guessing his deal was that he was a Trump supporter in 2016, saw who Trump really was, started to support anyone but Trump, then Trump won the primaries and he said, well thank god I live in America where I will still be able to buy an AK while having previous charges for weapons of mass destruction.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago

Probably should have tried to shake it off......shake it off....

[–] niktemadur@lemmy.world 14 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

I sure hope the cult sheds energy this way. A few voters here suddenly get butthurt, a few other voters get alienated by the same inflexible clumsiness of their orange clay idiot idol, the cult cannibalizing itself via many individual "I laughed until they insulted me, they insulted ME!" adding up to never being able to win another election.

[–] recapitated@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The soft landing for the cult exit would probably need to be something like "Trump isn't what he used to be".

Then give them time to take account of how he always was...

[–] niktemadur@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Trump isn't what he used to be

I think that's a brilliant statement to have posted all over social media, let them all see it, it's definitely a door with an "Exit" sign on top!

[–] jaggedrobotpubes@lemmy.world 12 points 2 months ago

It's like Ivanka banging another man. Just more than he can take.

[–] h3mlocke@lemm.ee 10 points 2 months ago

"Why are you doing this?" No motherfuckers, why are you doing this?

[–] Rin@lemm.ee 9 points 2 months ago

Common trump L

[–] BigMacHole@lemm.ee 6 points 2 months ago

Millions of People are Saying Trump is a STABLE Jenius! It said so on the Fox News TV Program!

[–] pineapplelover@lemm.ee 5 points 2 months ago

They have awakened the swarm

[–] SuperSaiyanSwag@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 months ago

Of all the things, why did “I hate Taylor Swift” pick up so much steam? I’m glad that it is impacting him negatively, I’m just kinda confused by it all.

[–] Minarble@aussie.zone 2 points 2 months ago

Karma is old Trumpy, losing bigly

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

The thumbnail of trump kinda looked like a baby, which is funny bcz he spends most of his time acting like a toddler.

[–] recapitated@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

It's the kind of thing that even if it were true, you should just be able to control you actions better. It's really scary that he was (and could be) commander in chief of the US military. Really scary that he would have a hand in diplomacy and foreign policy.

[–] TriflingToad@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

I mean... I don't really like her either but man that's dumb
