Clearly hasn't started yet?

Stop stooping to their level.

[–] atocci@lemmy.world 148 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Yeah this was supposedly an hour and a half before it began, and pictures from during the event show it full. It's funny to imagine, but don't let scenes like this make you think you don't need to vote.

Dudes showed up early just to claim a back row seat. Is this algebra class?

[–] Revan343@lemmy.ca 17 points 1 month ago

No; you have to think during algebra class

[–] ResoluteCatnap@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 month ago

Well given someone died claiming the very front row with Trump, claiming a seat in the back is a smart choice

[–] iAmTheTot@sh.itjust.works 16 points 1 month ago

Although from what I understand, "full" was a few hundred.

[–] kwomp2@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 month ago

It was full?

In that case: What the fuck OP?? How cheap are you?

[–] Fontasia@feddit.nl 16 points 1 month ago

I get where you're coming from but the "These people are racist, sexist bigots trying to install fascism" angle isn't working for some reason 😞

[–] veganpizza69@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Decorum is not a valid strategy against bad faith actors. It's an invitation to get abused.

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I agree, but pushing easily debunked narratives is not a winning strategy. There is a picture with more people in this place, so posting this with this caption is just going to reinforce their belief that libs lie.

However, they can't definitively prove jd vance has never fucked a couch.

Memes like this are pure horse shit. Just like the story all over lemmy today about Trump's campaign having to pay up front for a venue, because that's the venue's policy for last minute bookings. Harris would have had to pay in the same circumstances.

As if there isn't enough going on to bag on Trump, why we gotta pull the same shit as the conservatives? Shameful.

[–] systemglitch@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Right, no one on stage, while being presented as though there were.

[–] runjun@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Also clearly more than 24 people.

[–] NatakuNox@lemmy.world 88 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Have you wondered why Trump and JD are having these outside events with limited stands? It's because they've stiffed every major venue in the country and can't book quality locations without paying what they owe and up front payment for the next event. Such clowns.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 30 points 1 month ago

When he ran in 2020 he probably thought it'd be the last time cause he would win so fuck 'em, what are they gonna do? Haha shitbag. Guess you should have paid your bills.

[–] lauha@lemmy.one 19 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Don't US have debt collectors?

[–] bizzle@lemmy.world 19 points 1 month ago

They only collect from poor people

[–] Alwaysnownevernotme@lemmy.world 37 points 1 month ago

His adoring fans couldn't get off the couch

[–] ReCursing@lemmings.world 32 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Bold move getting him up on stage in front of that much seating... who knows what he might do!

[–] Brunbrun6766@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Not enough cushion in those folding chairs

[–] BedSharkPal@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 month ago

Wait... he actually needs more cushin' for the pushin'!

[–] timewarp@lemmy.world 17 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Is that at the Four Seasons?

[–] MegaUltraChicken@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago

I believe they're at JW Marriott Pool Supplies this time.

[–] 4oreman@lemy.lol 15 points 1 month ago

And not a sofa in sight!

[–] dodgy_bagel@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

Maybe I'm bad at counting, but there is more than 24 people sitting in the forground. In the background section, there's even more. (press?)

(The women count as people, right?)

[–] Riven@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 1 month ago

Not to them.

[–] CosmicTurtle0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Women only count as people when ovulating or pregnant.

Otherwise they are cattle.

[–] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Where was this?

I'm not too surprised though, the guy is vocal chloroform.

[–] iAmTheTot@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 month ago

Four Seasons Total Landscaping

[–] UraniumBlazer@lemm.ee 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

vocal chloroform.

Haha I'm stealing that

[–] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 month ago

I stole it from Mark Twain, who referred to the Book of Mormon as "chloroform in print".

[–] superkret 8 points 1 month ago

No wonder his fans stay away, with those unattractive chairs.

[–] lemmus@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

Absent Interest

[–] hOrni@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

The absent majority.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

A full Frank Luntz polling group of voters.

[–] pooberbee@lemmy.ml 0 points 1 month ago

How long is the speech? I feel like I'd need to re-up my sunscreen. Maybe it's because I'm a mole person, but that much open sky makes me nervous.

[–] DarkCloud@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago

Tell me the relevance of Curtis Yarvin.
