I started using YouTube back when it was new. When the default view was the videos from the channels you subscribed to, and I have kept that pattern.

It seems to work, except for the few weeks after a holiday I empty my YouTube, nebula, and podcast feeds early each day

It's off to the side of the very specific sign

Australian here, I'm happy for America to call pickup trucks "trucks". They're closer to a light commercial vehicle than they are to a ute.

Aside from all that, EN.US is their language. They can use it how they like. It's just a shame their culture is so dominant that it can't leave EN.AU alone

Malta will even sell* you citizenship

*They'll give you citizenship if you invest over an amount (€1 million last I looked) in Malta

20 seems like the youngest end for university graduates. Start university age 18, 3 year degree program, graduate aged 20

That only requires advancing 1 grade ahead of one's peers. My cohort at university included one person who was 3 years ahead of their class and so started university aged 16

You don't often hear about laptops burning. And many of those spend their while lives plugged in

You have a choice: get 57M or get an annuity that costs 57M and pays out 96M over two decades

If you took the 57 million and invested it in an index fund you would probably do better than 96M over the same timespan, though you would probably be taxed more and have to be responsible enough to not spend the money instead

As

That looks like an oddly capitalised "as"

That really gives the reason it's acceptable to use apostrophes when pluralising that sort of case

We have a clean desk policy at my workplace too, we also don't take classified documents home

We all know this, but this might be a good article to share with friends and relatives, it's two years old, but I hadn't seen it before.

TLDR: University of Adelaide (in Australia) scientists examined meat eating in cultures world wide, and found that more meat correlates with longer life.

They point out that previous research efforts indicating meat causes bad health are badly designed and suspect on the face of them, but even more suspect with this study
