The thing I'm not getting is how do you confront violence aggressively but not violently. The quote said they drove purposefully to places to brawl. Once they show up there are only two options: brawl or run.

A lot of far left theory sees fascism as a result of capitalism. To defend the private property from the socialists one needs a group that zealously defends some in-group where the capitalists belong against some outgroup that contains the socialists. Something along those lines
