The 100w setting for 3 min does not equal to the 2000w setting for 9s. Shit gets burned because of the hot spots. Use lower heat for longer to eliminate hot spots in your food.

Fucking finally!
I have touched the pins on the original flash capacitor when it was half discharged, and I was scared it restarted my heart (it didn't).
With this one I'm even more terrified as it has about 4 times the capacity and voltage, so it would be an even more effective defibrillator.
Also the noise it makes is scary too. It takes a solid minute to charge, and as it does that you can hear a high pitched noise getting higher pitched as the voltage increases. When you finally discharge it, it sounds like a quiet gun shot with echo and everything.
Idk i made this a while ago from parts I had laying around in my room. Let's say I'm terrified when I use it...

I know of people who work in IT and use onedrive as a shitty version of github for sharing and version controlling code.... If I was them, I'd alteast use syncthing

Some years ago, I saw a neat photo collage centered around power lines by some artist, and thought it was a neat idea. Here's my attempt at making one using photos I've taken on my phone throughout the years. This was a project i did a while ago, and thought you might appreciate seeing, even if it's a bit jank in some spots. I wanted to share the before photo of the power lines, but can't find the original DNG file, nor the Photoshop project file. ~~I'll go for a walk to find the original spot i took the image at as proof :)~~

The map contains exact locations of homocides from the 2000s to now. You can zoom in far enough to see the neighborhood the murder(s) happened in. I'm sorry that the site is primarily in Norwegian, but you should still be able to zoom around. Wonder of there's a global map that's that detailed.

The main cause for why I wanted to leave reddit was the "hustle" for getting as many upvotes as possible. It just felt like the content was not genuine, but merely manufactured for clicks, meaning that you wouldn't really get proper or meaningful conversations with other people. What triggered my switch to lemmy was reddit's api changes and the censorship moderators and spez did.
Here, I can have an actually meaningful conversation without the toxicity and childishness of redditors on reddit. One thing I miss though is leaving the huge bank of information that accumulated on that platform from decades of people sharing information.
