I didn't say not to protest.

In fact protesting is incredibly useful when the calls of many go unheard or ignored.

And having an effective protest is only possible if you can get a lot of people together, so it's best to not shit on people from hello for saying exactly what you think is the "right" thing.

Not to mention having a large community of people reaching out before having to protest is also helpful, so doing good community building is also important.

Darktable can be used for that as .RW2 files are "raw" pictures.

Also Darktable is a damn good image editing software for raw files.

Considering making votes public, not considering making mod actions inform the user they occur.

I can see where their priorities are.

Making votes something mods can see is one thing but public is whole other can of worms.

It was over a pot hole that was so deep that there wasn't asphalt at the bottom and due to the poor drainage in that area it was growing at a surprising rate.

So when they put the traffic barrel there it didn't take long before the pot hole was large enough that it started to eat it.

I don't have any pictures of when the hole got large enough that the barrel could no longer rest on the brim but by that point the hole was over a foot deep.

The hole was fixed almost 2 years ago now but I do miss that traffic barrel that lived in the middle of the road.
