That makes no sense. Isn't the reason for keeping trans women out of the ladies room supposed to be that they are men and pose a threat to "real" women? If MTG thinks she can take a trans woman in a fight that kind of goes against her case...

Bold of you to assume MTG is a woman… she looks like a man cosplaying as a woman….

[–] Passerby6497@lemmy.world 36 points 9 hours ago

Bold of you to assume a fascist is capable of having internally consistent beliefs.

Women are always jealous of prettier women.

I don’t want to upvote nor downvote; one of the few times I wish we had reactions here. 😆

Good thing MTG doesn’t have to worry about this. She’s never actually in the House doing her job. She can continue to shit in podcast studio bathrooms like normal.

You know who the toughest woman in Congress is? Senator Duckworth. While she was medevaced out of the crash site where she lost both of her legs, she grabbed a rifle and fired on the enemy. Total badass.

Meanwhile the knew SecDef thinks women can't handle combat

God damn. "I'm not done yet, bank over there."

That woman is my hero.

"I'm not a snowflake, you're the snowflake"

This is a threat without any risk to MTG. If she does it and beats McBride up, she'll be a hero to her base and will get pardoned if she catches a charge. If she does it and McBride fights back, her narrative will become "violent trans people" and "a man dressing as a woman beat up a congressperson." Saying things like this are 100% wins to the psychopath party and their base, and I'm ashamed to share this country with them.

I wouldn't condone violence, but I'll payperview to see McBride shut her the fuck up in a ring.

i'd line up too. Can't wait until vomit Greene finds out the hard way that trans women often retain a lot of the muscle tone they gain from growing up with testosterone

[–] Drivebyhaiku@lemmy.world 5 points 2 hours ago

Even if you trained relentlessly to preserve your original tone - lean muscle mass, fat distribution, bone density and skin thickness are all tied to your sex hormones and your cells are constantly being replaced. The oldest a muscle cell (exempting heart cells) gets is like 15 years with the average being more like 10. The good senator has been on HRT for over a decade. There's not any even negligible physiological advantage of experienced testosterone puberty left.

Like anything trained skill and age is more important a factor. Unless either is a trained martial artist the advantage most at play would be that McBride is like 20 years younger. Greene does however give the impression like she has punched out a few people over low cost electronics at Black Friday events so I dunno.

Gunna say it's a close toss up.

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 14 points 7 hours ago

Nah, after 2 years hrt the physical differences are miniscule.

[–] adespoton@lemmy.ca 15 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

I don’t see how this ends well for MTG unless it’s ignored?

MTG wins: she’s just assaulted another politician who happens to be a woman.

McBride wins: MTG is humiliated and while complaining that “she’s really a man” — that will only resonate with people who already agree with MTG. Possibly the goal is to get McBride charged with assault?

[–] dirthawker0@lemmy.world 11 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Spot on. There's no winning for McBride here; if she does kick MTG's ass, then that's all the more reason for Republicans to go after "men" in women's sports.

The winning move is ignoring her.
