The artist's shop has prints of this comic but not stickers, but he has other stickers of his work. Maybe he'd entertain a request to do some stickers of these.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Those would be cool! I wish I could find a site where you could do an affordable run of just like 20 stickers. Either you pay out the ass or you buy over 100 of one sticker at a time.

[–] ByteOnBikes@slrpnk.net 3 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I want this as a sticker now.

[–] OpenStars@discuss.online 3 points 1 month ago

And how will you ah... ahem, be choosing to pay for said sticker? :-P

[–] variants@possumpat.io 10 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Redbubble isn't too bad if you get like 5 they cut the price for all stickers. My wife uploads stuff there and then orders it haha

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yeah, they're not terrible, but still more than I would pay for what's essentially a laminated printout that costs them pennies. Plus, like you said, you have to order five different stickers to get a discount.

I am doing a fun and silly thing with my daughter where whenever she gets an A on a test, she gets to put a sticker of one of our dogs on a world map. We have two dogs. I basically had to plan to order over 100 stickers of each dog if I didn't want to pay out the ass. I ended up just ordering over 100 of just one dog for $25. A good per-sticker price, but it would have been nice to just order 20 of each dog and not pay a ridiculous amount.

I worked in a similar industry for a couple of years doing graphic design (custom box printing) and I know how little this sort of thing costs. Especially when your customers are submitting their own designs and you don't need to do anything because it's all automated.

They do have 50 percent discounts every other month or so in my experience for stickers but yea you're right you have to order a minimum of like 10 usually for the discount to apply.

They just called her 'Thursday' where I bought it

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago (2 children)

What the hell is wrong with her body?! I can't even figure out what's wrong proportionally!

[–] palordrolap@fedia.io 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Her waist appears to be halfway up her ribcage (this may or may not be normal, but it doesn't look right), and her legs seem to be short. One or both of these might be caused by foreshortening effects caused by both cameras or the way she's stood.

The wig is also enormous compared to her face, which suggests it's about half as large again as that hairstyle would be if natural, which also throws off proportions.

They know their costume is poorly made, but it's cheaper to get a model with a very particular body type to model it, than it is to fix the product.

Sounds like the rule 34 version.

[–] Dozzi92@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

This is the one that got me. I have zero faith in it loading.

I'm a Space Dog, half space, half dog! I'm my own best friend.

[–] MajorHavoc@programming.dev 11 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Lol. I can still hear John Candy's delivery. He had genius delivery. RIP John Candy.

Edit, also I'm glad I'm not the only one who went straight from Space Dog to Barf.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

What a loss to the world his early death was. Can you imagine if he was still around today making movies? Think of the comedy potential of a movie starring John Candy, John Belushi and Chris Farley!

Ricky's no longer allowed within a mile of any school or within 1500 yards of pluto.

Reminds me of the french politician who talked about "Larry Skywalker and that weird bear"

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

I would totally watch the adventures of Larry Skywalker and the Weird Bear.

Especially if the Weird Bear also gets a light saber.

It's like one of those Disney rip-off cartoons that somehow has a thousand sequels.
