spoilerDamn it, it is lol

I've been thoroughly enjoying these memes. They remind me a lot of when shittymorph would get you with the undertaker bit. Except now I'll be looking at cool science charts that are genuinely interesting only to find someone snuck in a sneaky Saddam.

[–] zcd@lemmy.ca 36 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The interesting thing about the scientific charts that have been used in these memes is how they often twist or oversimplify data while trying to hide Saddam Hussein to create a humorous effect. Although the scientific accuracy may be in question, please don't let this take away from the fact that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and he fell 16 feet through an announcer’s table

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Oh boy, I really miss some of those accounts with comedy bits and I just assume they stopped posting when I left reddit so that I don't have the urge to go back and double check.

When Lemmy was first coming online I ran an aggressive stroganoff facts subscription account, It was a lot of work but very rewarding, learned A LOT about stroganoff

Grandma breastfeeding uncle Phil.

Stop shaming women for breastfeeding, it's totally natural.

Reminds me of a prank I have read about: someone scanned a large WiW poster, photoshopped Wally out, and had it printed. Then he used it to keep the kids busy during a family gathering.

[–] paddirn@lemmy.world 23 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (5 children)

Not sure if I’m not getting some cool kid joke now or what. He’s there near the center-right upper portion, but it looks photoshopped or something and off somehow, but I can’t zoom in enough to tell what’s going on.

There's also a nerd walking on some guy's dick just to the lower right of there as well.

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 21 points 1 month ago

If you are looking for Waldo you are falling for the same old tricks. The real challenge is finding the hidden ~~dictators~~ details.

[–] tacosanonymous@lemm.ee 13 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Idk why but Waldo is in black and white instead of red n white.

But look up near the right 1/3 right on the shoreline.

[–] JaymesRS@literature.cafe 16 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

In Waldo/Wally books there’s a character called Odlaw/Yllaw that is identical but in black and yellow (which usually ends up looking black and white.

Isn’t this the one with the tits in it that had to be censored?

[–] TheRtRevKaiser@sh.itjust.works 24 points 1 month ago (2 children)

This is the later version. In the original, this lady was topless.

[–] BlackPenguins@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago

Oh no! Not boobies. My impressionable mind!

[–] RacoonVegetable@reddthat.com 12 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Can I uuuuuh…. Uhm… have the original version?

I found him, only because I had this book as a child.

[–] Visstix@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Why did you have sadam hussein in that book?

[–] nailbar@sopuli.xyz 8 points 1 month ago

I found him because I recently saw a video on the most optimal path to search based on where he's usually found.

[–] pedz@lemmy.ca 14 points 1 month ago (2 children)

So, where is Saddam Hussein?

[–] aodhsishaj@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

under the pyramid of people in the top right on his back in all red.

Is this the one where Waldo doesn't have his hat, glasses, or cane? I remember that being a thing in at least 1 of the books.

Edit: I guess technically? I was over here lookin' for Waldo and not a middle-eastern dictator. 🤷🏻‍♂️

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

I found Waldo Odlaw, the Wizard, and someone who may or maybe be Saddam Hussein if you squint. It's pretty pixeley and hard to judge.

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 11 points 1 month ago

I know it's not the point, but this gives me anxiety. Not a fan of crowds at all. I would take one look and leave.

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Goddamit… I just spent like 3 minutes looking for him because my ADHD wouldn’t let me ignore it.
