The iconic singer is none too pleased that Trump is speaking at a venue bearing her name.

Man, I fucking LOVE that so many competent, intelligent, and successful women are throwing the idiot heterosectional’s “single cat lady” quip back in his face from all angles.

To be fair, all these great women are now grabbing their pussies to show that amateur how it's supposed to be done!

Heh. Another layer. Delightfully cheeky.

The thing I remember most about Linda was that she was was relatively small woman but had a balls out pitch perfect voice. Although disease took her voice, those aspects still remain. Bravo Linda and not for the first time.

“It saddens me to see the former President bring his hate show to Tucson, a town with deep Mexican-American roots and a joyful, tolerant spirit,” Ronstadt, who included a photo of her holding a kitten, writes.

“I don’t just deplore his toxic politics, his hatred of women, immigrants and people of color, his criminality, dishonesty and ignorance — although there’s that,” the 2014 inductee into the Rock & Roll of Hall of Fame continues. “For me it comes down to this:  In Nogales and across the southern border, the Trump Administration systematically ripped apart migrant families seeking asylum. Family separation made orphans of thousands of little children and babies, and brutalized their desperate mothers and fathers. It remains a humanitarian catastrophe that Physicians for Human Rights said met the criteria for torture.”

Ronstadt, whose father was of Mexican descent, goes on to further castigate Trump, closing with “Trump first ran for President warning about rapists coming in from Mexico. I’m worried about keeping the rapist out of the White House.”

But she wasn’t done. She also adds a pointed postscript directed toward Trump’s running mate, the Republic vice president nominee, J.D. Vance:  “I raised two adopted children in Tucson as a single mom. They are both grown and living in their own houses. I live with a cat. Am I half a childless cat lady because I’m unmarried and didn’t give birth to my kids? Call me what you want, but this cat lady will be voting proudly in November for @kamalaharris and @timwalz .”

Hellz yeah.

He’s no good, he’s no good, he’s no good

Baby, he’s no good.

I still occasionally watch her episode of The Muppet Show

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 3 points 1 month ago

I rewatched Chita Rivera and Raquel Welch's turns recently. Both did a comic turn. Linda just sang. Henson et al knew they couldn't improve on perfection

Señor Trump no es macho, solamente es un borracho...

[–] WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So is Harris going to release an ad with her and Ronstadt beating up a cardboard standee of Trump? It worked for Barney.

Why even post if you're going to include absolutely no information?

What a garbage bot.
