To be clear: they're tracking the mouse on the website, not the real time movements of a dildo going in and out of an orifice

My disappointment is is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Might your day be improved by ... A dildo going in and out of an orifice?

Only if a log of the ins and outs goes directly to Bill Gates's desk.

[–] lone_faerie@lemmy.blahaj.zone 11 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Only because they haven't figured out a way to do that yet

Fortunately we have open source sex toys

That is fucking amazing (pun intended)

The day a dildo comes with WiFi and an integrated accelerometer. The vibration function is $7.99/month. For an extra $3.99/month, it extends three inches. I'm not sure why I joke about that, I'm sure it's already a thing.

Open source teledildonics are a thing.

[–] InevitableWaffles@midwest.social 2 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Teledildonics is my new favorite word.

I knew sites used heat maps to see what people click on but I was surprised when our developers showed us actual video of users moving their mouse. I didn't know that was even a thing.

I don't think this is inherently a problem, if the data is anonymized.

[–] scarilog@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Yep, microsoft clarity is pretty useful, if you don't wanna be tracked, just use an adblocker.

If you're scared about Microsoft tracking your UX engagement on a website, the best way to make sure your sex life stays private is to file it in federal court.

I'm pretty sure this person was just looking for a reason to sue, and then tried to construct the most salacious situation to sue about.

I'm not against them suing, I think web tracking is evil, so more power to them, but I definitely feel like a lawyer helped architect the actual complaint

Well if she was just looking for any reason to sue, well congrats to her then. She stumbled across a really good one.

What in the world is that gold thing on the left?

[–] Auzy@beehaw.org 11 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

This doesn't have much to do with Microsoft. They simply used their software. Microsoft wasn't responsible at all for this. It was the websites

It seems the age of click bait has arrived at lemmy

[–] ssm@lemmy.sdf.org 7 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (2 children)

Just block lemmy.world and you'll lose 90% of the r*ddit repost clickbait and USpol propaganda spam immediately. World needs to be given credit for being the containment instance so the rest of lemmy can be good.

[–] Auzy@beehaw.org 3 points 2 weeks ago

I'm on beehaw. I think maybe that's already blocked 😂

[–] Chakravanti@lemmy.ml 0 points 2 weeks ago

Fuck lemmy dot world

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Tangential, but what the hell is that big, metallic diamond looking one? Like, does it vibrate? I'd there a hole in the top? Is it.. ugh... a butt plug?

It's a novelty lay on toy. Not for insertion.

[–] bhamlin@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Sounds like a challenge to me

[–] atrielienz@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Whatever floats your boat. But EMS recommends against inserting things that don't have a flared base. Do with that information whatever you want.

[–] bhamlin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

I see a flare. It's on the base. 😃

It's nothing to do with Microsoft really.. clickbait
