If You have problem with understanding what irony is, just think of Alanis' Morissettes "Ironic". The lyrics list examples of irony, while none of them actually are ironic, which makes the whole song a great example of irony.
This is what Weird Al has to say about that song's iconic line "It's like rain on your wedding day":
The examples in the song are ironic, she just does not include enough details to clarify it. For example, an old man was afraid to fly so he took the train instead. And an unrelated plane crashed into it, killing him. He died on a plane crash due to avoiding planes. Ironic as fuck.
I don't think that is how the song went, the guy who was afraid to fly ended up getting on a plane, which crashed just like he was afraid it would.
Mr. Play-It-Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down
He thought, "Well, isn't this nice?"
Perhaps it's supposed to be ironic that the one time he took the risk was the time it crashed

Just because he waited his whole life for the flights doesn't mean he didn't chicken out at the last minute and take a train.

You expect people who are bad at driving to need to attend a driving school, and it is therefore a place where you are more likely to see accidents. This image meets what one would reasonably expect. It is not ironic.
No, the gag is that the poster of the image doesn't understand what irony is, which is ironic.
I assumed a person crashed into the school while starting a lesson. But that doesn't necessarily mean the lesson made them worse. This is more that It's like rai-e-aaaain!
This is a post that reminds me I'm not wearing my reading glasses.
