I know everyone here just likes bashing Newsom. But seriously, Hemp products are no where near the quality of cannabis products. You're basically taking industrial grade fiber in huge amounts to extract the trace THC in it using some seriously harsh chemical processes. Or you know, we could just stick to classic weed plants that grow like... well weeds, I guess, all over California. Banning unregulated hemp bullshit is the right move. Keep the cannabis in the dispensary where it can be regulated and taxed
Can we ease up on the reactionary bullshit and at least read the article. Maybe even figure out what the actual issue is? Fucking hell
If hemp is so inefficient, then why do they do it?
Because the tax on weed is so onerous that inefficiency is more profitable.
The solution is not to ban hemp, but to stop taxing the fuck out of weed to absurd prices over some bullshit morality.
A lot to unpack on that subject. But mainly this hemp shit can skirt all kinds of regulations because of what it is.
I unfortunately got more insight into what's happening from your comment alone vs the article.. why would they leave this info out? At least link to the associated technical process.
