A pop star that has had an enormous rise to popularity this last year. By all accounts, she seems to be a very good person who's main controversies have been burn out and stress from becoming a household name overnight.
You'd probably recognise a fair few if her songs from just hearing them in public. A lot of songs from her album were very well received.
She also recently upset some fans by implying that she might vote for a fascist in the upcoming presidential election.
No she didn't
She's said she's voting for Kamala but that this is not the same as an endorsement by Chappell Roan ®™©
But people heard the words "problems on both sides" and deliberately took it completely out of context and have been bullying her about it for weeks

Right? She literally just said what a lot of people on Lemmy think, which is that the Democrats suck because they're still supporting Israel and they also suck because they aren't progressive enough. Regardless, she's going to vote for Kamala because that's the choice we have right now. I applaud her statement.
Blue MAGA isn't a baseless accusation.
