i thought V was pretty good…
It was exciting, in the same way that Fight Club was exciting. But it rested heavily on the idea that one guy doing super-villain style terrorism against an Evil Media Guy was all it took to bring about sweeping social change.
The name really says it all. This isn't V for Victory. Its a story about the triumph of nihilism.
It's about American neoliberalism vs neoconservatism instead of the comic's British anarchism vs fascism.
But that's just Alan Moore's take.
Fight Club is about coming to grips with mental illness.
Everyone has their own take on what fight club is about.
