Not only turning down a douche but proceeding to kick his ass is crazy, nice work

Financial Engineering, but I would settle for Econometrics or even Applied Statistics

I feel this. Physical books are much better for reading but I miss grep so much when I need to consult

Marriage and master's degree. The latter probably will end up not happening due to impending burnout

Carmella "you made me so hawt down thea" to a comatose Tony was something, especially with that weird camera angle

There is no way to accomplish this return of the hobbyist internet without deep systemic change (that won't ever happen if we're honest). We can only hope to carve out our little corners by leaving the lurker mindset and actively participating in the discussion of our hobbies:
Document your struggle running that one RPG system as a duet. Post how to solve the bug you were having with Linux. Review that one book you just finished. Make a list of your favorite resources on baking. Contribute to open source.
Problem is, we can't force people to do it, we can only do it ourselves and hope to make an impact, and that isn't really effective...

I'm a mess. Autism, ADHD and bipolar :)
I'd like to buy a pair of those dampeners too sometime, the ones construction guys use. I feel the active noise cancellation strains my ears over time if I'm using them for hours

My noise cancelling headphones make me forget my disability sometimes, especially during bus rides, which used to induce migraines and leave me burnt out to a crisp when getting home from work. A mechanical keyboard made working so much more enjoyable, too

What do non-violent "protests" do? Why would police ever really try to supress them if they don't serve any purpose other than virtue signalling? Do you protesters expect Trump to stop ICE raids because "wow, I guess these signs with me drawn as a pig are really making me think", or MAGA supporters to stop voting for him because you wasted your sunday out in the sun walking around?

Would stuff like Fedora be in danger, in this case? I couldn't find if Red Hat was US based

I won't believe the left is actually seriously preparing until I start seeing some Onion links around. We're probably on a list just for using Lemmy, which is notoriously leftist, and talking about this stuff publicly, unveiled, with a registered account is honestly below Hegseth level OPSEC

The alternative being?
