ReactOS is probably a good indicator how far you can get with some limited generic drivers.

I'd argue that is still an issue of trust, but maybe more concerning society / the local neighborhood.
Currently, cloudstrike offers two methods for Linux: a kernel driver / module and a theoretically safer alternative using epbf (you could call that "kernel level scripting"). Ironically, they triggered a kernel bug using that second option. They did not test all kernels they listed as compatible or something like that.
Or some network settings are not in the new "sinple" ui.
As a CLI there is gifsicle or imagemagick.

Das geht schon, dann trägt nur PayPal das Risiko, dass auch abgebucht werden kann.
PayPal ist praktisch auch eine Bank, nur bekommst du keine iban. sofortüberweisung bietet inzwischen etwas ähnliches an inklusive Iban. Für mich kommt das aber nicht infrage, da ihr anderes Produkt mittels meinen Bankzugangsdaten funktioniert.
Es gibt einen ähnlichen Ansatz wie den von Phettberg, der nicht verniedlichend klingt.. Den finde ich auch nicht schlecht:

Und nebenbei werden im Regionalverkehr profitable Strecken dann an billigere Anbieter vergeben und die Bahn bleibt auf den unprofitablen sitzen, die sie nicht mehr querfinanzieren kann.
