Makes total sense to me. He loved his husband and wanted him to be happy, but wasn't sexually attracted to him. But not a homophobe, so willing to try to make husband happy.

The senate has become a golden carrot for political parties to reward friendly journalists. This is not healthy for our democracy.

What if we replaced the senate with a longer cycle, partyless FPTP system, and used PR for the lower house?

Just an idea I haven't thought through yet.

Women are not allowed to choose what they wear and they are probably looking for revenue streams and the pendulum is swinging away from religious tolerance.

Jeezus!

Yeah I think that the best plan would be to genre edit a solution, then selectively breed 'normal' humans to recreate that engineered genome

That's exactly what seems to be happening

My understanding is that the union and the rail companies are pretty far apart in negotiations. The workers/ union were happy to keep working while negotiations progressed, but the rail companies didn't want to negotiate anymore and wanted to go to binding arbitration.

Rail companies locked out the workers.

Government says "you can't do that you have to go to binding arbitration".

Rail companies get an absolute win. It's so fucked.

If they know these people are active criminals they will have no problem citing just cause for arrest and search.

I live in Canada, our gun rules are different than the USA. This week in my city some charges against a dangerous criminal were dropped because the police had a "flagrant disregard for charter rights" (according to the judge) (oir charter rights are similar to American civil rights)

They searched him improperly, and found a loaded, illegal gun. Charges dismissed. If they had handled it properly they could have made the charges stick. What a waste of everyone's time. Police didn't respect his rights because they don't respect my rights.

The water in my community has poison added to it by my local government. It's a poison so heinous its usage is banned in war. It affects the clarity and taste of the water. No matter how many letters I write they are totally unwilling to stop chlorinating the water. It's outrageous!

Is there a way to set up patreon for any ad free website I browse?

Could my browser have some sort of cryptographically signed cookie that would let ad-free websites deduct 1-5 cents from my browsing account?

Website could check for the cookie before loading the ads?

Has this been tried?

I think the author intended it to mean "let's fucking go"

But LFG is how my brain will always read it. (WoW BC thru WOTLK)

We don't have 7.

Vacant isn't a party, so that makes it 6.

"Independent" isn't a party, each member should count as their own party (so 8 parties total) or none of them should count as a party (5 parties total).

I don't think tasmania is a valuable comparison considering it is not a country, and has a population smaller than Kitchener Ontario.

But I think your point that MMP reduces party diversity is possibly valid since imo it locks in existing parties.

Thanks. Yeah you're recommending what I was initially thinking.

You should probably use a simulation tool to check the circuit before you start destroying chips.

Fair!
