With all due respect the Acer that you have is far inferior compared to the Alienware in terms of image quality. Not to mention that it has only 576 dimming zones. The only place it shines is the maximum brightness, but I would still pick the Alienware any day, especially if it is for only gaming.

If I am not wrong the OLEDs have a problem with the text clarity and if you are planning to use it for programming or crunching numbers on a spreadsheet table, the Acer would probably be a better choice. That and the risk of burn in.
