The article I posted above gets into this, but it was not. The British did not quit India because some guy went on a hunger strike, and they actively propagate pacifist myths like his because they are completely unthreatening.

Why would the capitalists let you vote away their wealth or power? What incentive do they have to do that?

That's defeatism.

No, it's a historical reality that voting is not an effective method to undo class society. Even the ancient greeks knew (before the Marxists rediscovered this and dealt their own death blows to representative government in the 1800s) that voting in an aristocracy is nothing more than theatre, because only the rich and entrenched families have the resources to fund campaigns, and get themselves elected (or appoint political puppets to do their bidding).

Political power is a reflex of economic power, and the rich will not allow you to use the system they control, to undo it.

single ant cannot destroy a tree. It's the work of countless ants that achieve that.

Many socialist / communist parties did just that, and they weren't deluded enough to try to accomplish it via voting in a system controlled by the ruling classes.

Jesus you have some downvote stalkers that really like Israel's genocide. I went ahead and banned them.

Another good option is to use something like stremio in order to watch it immediately (but be sure also to add the torrent to your main seeding machine).

It's def optional, and usually default off in most torrent clients.

No they're made by those who possess economic power. That's a tiny sliver of the US population.

It's elections are nothing than political theatre, with a side goal of creating the illusion of democracy, and building consent for the dictatorship.

Voting will fix it, it's worked so far. /s

The feeling of helplessness, and being unable to do anything about the poverty the capitalists have caused is the most frustrating thing.

Like look at the comments on any one of the videos of this channel, where somebody drives around impoverished areas of US cities, like this one in philadelphia. So many people are outraged and want to help eliminate systemic poverty, but don't know how.

It will stop being relevant when the US and its vassals stop bombing the Middle East.

This is one of the coolest cross-stitches I've ever seen, nice job.

We're testing some beta's for the upcoming release, and it had some performance issues, so I had to downgrade and restore from a backup.

We do this testing here so other instances don't have to, and so we can find any bugs before a release. Again, this is my bad, I apologize.

JULY 25, 2024

Statement by Vice President Kamala Harris

Yesterday, at Union Station in Washington, D.C. we saw despicable acts by unpatriotic protestors and dangerous hate-fueled rhetoric.

I condemn any individuals associating with the brutal terrorist organization Hamas, which has vowed to annihilate the State of Israel and kill Jews. Pro-Hamas graffiti and rhetoric is abhorrent and we must not tolerate it in our nation.

I condemn the burning of the American flag. That flag is a symbol of our highest ideals as a nation and represents the promise of America. It should never be desecrated in that way.

I support the right to peacefully protest, but let’s be clear: Antisemitism, hate and violence of any kind have no place in our nation.

Do you keep lists of your favorite things, such as movies, books, recipes, or music albums? You might keep list(s) that looks like this:

  • Network (1976)
  • Lone Star (1996)
  • Devils (1971)
  • The Seventh Seal (1957)
  • ... Many more films

But how do you rank these?

You might be tempted to order them by preference, but this could quickly get overwhelming for long lists.

A much easier method is to use pairwise comparisons, which shows you single head-to-head pairs, and has you choose which one you like best.

After doing a small number of these matchups, Rank-My-Favs can confidently create a ranked list for you.

Under the hood, Rank-My-Favs uses the advanced Glicko rating system, to determine how many matches are necessary, and for ranking.
