Accent and all. Even the body language

Actions we condemn today were often considered acceptable, even heroic, in their era. Many figures are celebrated for their accomplishments in fields like military leadership, politics, philosophy, or art.

Also national pride, these people become symbols of a nation's identity and history, youre always taught they're heroes. They also leave a lasting impact on culture, shaping the art of their era and therefore beyond. Look no further than Napoleon for this one. Or the Mughals.

Power and influence can be awe-inspiring, even if their methods are questionable. These are traits that have throughout history been associated with being morally good in a way. Fame, power, money makes you 'good' in many cultures over history. Kings are looked up to, they are seen as people with noble blood. Their actions are inherently correct. I genuinely believe our morality as a society has grown more stringent over time.

Sometimes, people are presented in a simplified, heroic manner without acknowledging their flaws. That's just the nature of storytelling imo. They aren't being critically analysed because they are stories. And we make art based on the stories and art that survive. We base stories of Alexander the Great on the art he allowed in his time.

This is brief, I have a lot of opinions on this matter lol.

  1. Speak and understand.
  2. Dead languages are not included.
  3. No understanding bad handwriting.
  4. General body language, sure. Specific to people, no.
  5. No codes or ciphers. Slang, euphimisms and subtext are allowed.
  6. I'll allow one animal specie of your choice, as a treat.
  7. Receive immediately. As if you were always multilingual but had forgotten.
  8. Fantasy languages with over a 1000 speakers allowed, to the capability of the 10th percentile.
  9. Alien communication, only if said aliens use sound based languages.
  10. I will not be allowing that loophole.

No dead languages, yes fictional languages

Could be a painting, a story, a movie, woodworking, absolutely anything. Also why?

Have a self-cleaning kitchen, where dishes, pots, and pans wash and put themselves away, but you have to manually fold and put away all laundry for the rest of your life or have a self-folding and putting away laundry system, where your clothes are always neatly folded and in your drawers, but you have to scrub and wash all dishes, pots, and pans by hand for the rest of your life.

Honestly, no offence, but I don't wanna be a woman. That sounds like a difficult life.

Don't worry about control or being unable to react in time etc or how it affects you physically.

Preface: Love this instance, happy to be here and this isnt a complaint just an observation.

OK so I mod a few communities across several instances, big and small. 3 on this very instance, I have noticed a pattern that posts on this instance tend to get a consistent early downvote count.

This might be my bad observations or the type of posts I see so I'd love to hear if anyone else has noticed the same.

Since I posted some weirder ones, here's one that's a treat. I like both so much I can't choose.
