  • appr. 5 mins - i suggest the options, it has to be HARD but possible - choose your level!
  • you may need weights (or sham`poo bottles) and a balancing pillow or a sofa cushion ..
  • If you just start training - do it during 5 mins, slowly and rest when you need, try also a harder option!
  • if you train regularly already - add these 5 mins to the end of your usual workout.
  • for the extremely fast results you can do it 5 mins in the morning, 5 mins again during the day, then 5 mins before the dinner

yes, it helps with some strength poses and movements actually 😂 if you´d like - you can check these two my workouts for the hamstrings flexibility - https://makertube.net/w/7V7DPG5rxaH5c6HUfa8Xp5 and
https://makertube.net/w/gbjB6ezD1fn31sKTG2XttD 😃 as i use active way of stretching also - additionally it helps to develope hip flexors and quadriceps muscles which you need for L-sit 😃

[–] Marina_Helena@lemm.ee 1 points 3 months ago

it actually does, there are good poses and movements for the arms and shoulders too - as chaturanga, dolphin, forearm plank, reversed plank, side planks variations and even upward facing dog 😃 and all the arm balances are exellent for this goal, but usually rarely done in yoga classes 😃

Which way to do L-sit? It depends if you do it on a floor or on parallel bars and from your hamstrings´ flexibility! And - !Engage your pelvic floor muscles!

Would you like to practice L-sit? And what about Lolasana (Tuck planche)?

does anyone go to a gym or do a workout at home to celebrate something? as i don´t drink alcohol and don´t like big or unusual meals - i always ask myself - what whould be a way to celebrate something that big as a New Year or Birthday for me? and I decided that some interesting workout with friends would be perfect as I like going to a gym and training at home also. probably something active as Capoeira or Kickboxing would be the best but even a usual strength training with free weights also sounds amazing 😆 unfortunately it´s quite hard to find friends who would like to celebrate by this way 😂

What do you think? would you do anything like this? and if you have done it already, what kind of workout was it? 😃

Thank you! Tolally agree! I also try to get at least one yoga session per week (but usually two) as a strength training mainly and also the balance, actually the balance is a great part I like the most - on feet, on arms and core 😀

How do you think - can you use yoga as a strength training with bodyweight? Have you done it already? Do you find yoga boring?

.. (Yoga has a reputation of something light or relaxing, but I think it depends from a teacher. I am a PT and a Fitness instructor as first and when I call my workouts "yoga" - it´s quite far from a usual yoga session as it´s designed to be a strength training. Even my stretching workouts are partly strength trainings. And mentally it can be harder than a weightlifting. )

would you be interested to practice arm balances and other challenging but super fun stuff to strengthen core and all other muscles?

if you think it´s too complicated and you can´t do it - you are wrong, unless you had some bad injuries - the most probaly you can do it straight away with the right explanation. it´s not that complicated and you don´t need any previous strength trainings.

to try - sign in for my yoga and calisthenics flow - directly here or in luma

Dec 27th, 35 mins, online, free recording

in the flow we incorporate some of the arm balances but i don´t yet explain in details, so if you get interested to learn them specifically - let me know! 😃 because i plan a serie of workouts to learn and practice the arm balances in particular 😆 if you get interested of course 😆

Hello! 😀 Is there anyone interested to learn and practice arm balances as a part of strength training with bodyweight or to incorporate them into a yoga practise?

I think arm balances are the best and fun way to work on the core muscles. Let me know please! 😀
