You might also be living on the street or in a car and not have the means to actually cook.

I would be fine with just having pressure sensitive WASD keys to control my speed beyond forward and forward but faster/slower, depending on what shift does. It's insane how much a keyboard with pressure sensitivity costs tho. It might be cheaper to build my own.

It's one of the few racing type games I will spend money on at an arcade if I see the machine even though I own a Dreamcast and a copy of the game at home.

I really should have used a better example like a tiktok dance/challenge or a meme format instead of a physical product.

Obviously not.

They're created through alchemy.

Vampires.

Werewolves are clearly superior.

It could also just be the beginning of a new fad.

Fidget spinners were uncommon and kinda weird before they really took off.

Natural early adoption of a thing solely by word of mouth looks almost the same as marketing.

Clearly members of the Kawaii Mafia.

I am just realizing that Charlie is going to inherit some lawsuits along with the factory. That's the real reason Wonka was looking for a successor.

I remember explaining this to my friend's mom when she asked (and paid) me to install Windows for her. It was Windows 8 at the time, and even before that the process was dead simple with instructions for what it wanted to fill out when it was something other than pressing a single button and waiting.

Got pretty much the same response.

From the big announcement post:

Caused by a child process ending without properly cleaning up

Put the child process in time out for their bad behavior. And if it continues to act up, no more cookies!

Dude, this game is pretty decent. I had been saying Lies of P is the closest Fromsoft soulslike but LOTF is also up there with it. It has a little bit of every FS game in its bones, plus the world shifting gimmick also gives it notes of Soul Reaver.

The only thing I can even say negative about it is that the story feels a bit like it's trying to be edgy and dark for the sake of being edgy and dark. Oh, and the mimics are absolute bullshit.

Finally actually sat down to complete the game and I immediately noticed the script carved into tablets and walls in the final area of the game. It looks like it could be cuneiform writing. Which made me wonder if it actually is, and if it translates to anything.

I know the puppet language has been translated; I can't find anything about these cuneiform looking carvings tho.

This has been bugging me for a while, and I don't know where else to really ask (this feels like the best place for this specific question); but how do you know what mod did what in the modlog? I've rarely ever seen the modlog actually state what mod/admin performed the action. Can get the user of the comment and even the undeleted text of their comment if it's a comment removal; does not show the mod/admin who actually handled it.

Just noticed a comment was removed for "not crossing the line but close to violating the TOS" and I wanna talk to whoever pulled that dumbass shit. I don't think it's a power trip to make a "report" about it here, I just wanna know what the fuck kind of stupid bullshit reasoning that is and the modlog does not show who the moderator that removed it was.

I have not once actually connected to another player in this game and I do not know why. I have PS+, I have the game in online mode, I even have the "worldwide" option set to be able to connect to literally anyone.

Beckoning Bell never has others players show up (or any "signs" if they are like the NPC summons).

Resonating Bell never summons me anywhere. I don't know if it works like summon signs in DS/ER where another player will see something to summon me where I was standing when I used it, or if it's like the effigies in Elden Ring where you just get summoned if the game finds a match; but I have tried using it around lamps, at boss doors, etc.

I can't even seem to invade anyone! Maybe I have the wrong bell? I have the sinister resonating bell and I get the feeling from the on screen prompt when using it that it's more like the dueling shit from DS where I am not forcing my way in, but being invited. All I know is that I haven't been able to invade with this either.

What gives? I see notes and ghosts all over the place so I know there is still an online presence in the game. Is it because I am on PS5 and not a PS4? Why can I not connect to anyone? 😩

Had just made a joke about this and it got me wondering: is this a dick move? Is it even legal? Nobody truly believes their wish will come true, right? That's just free money sitting in the water. Or would most people these days consider them to be donations? I can only assume that someone has to clean them out every now and then so as not to become totally filled with coins. Who would keep it? The city? The private institution that owns the fountain (if in some corporate lobby area or something)? Is it donated to charity?

Secondary question: Is this even a tradition outside the US? How common around the world is throwing coins into wells or fountains and making a wish?

Also of note, we’ve been closely investigating server performance for some time, recognizing that it hasn’t been meeting expectations. After thorough analysis, we believe we’ve identified a key issue, and this fix should significantly improve the experience for a large number of players.

The server issues--the de-sync and hitreg specifically--have just about been the worst thing about the game for me. I hope they actually get it dialed in because the game is so fun, but really frustrating when it's treating you like you're playing a different game than everyone else on the server; showing you ghosts and not letting your shots count even when they visibly land on target.
