Laws aren’t going to help keep the price down which is also an issue apart from the digital ownership. It’s always cheaper to buy physical games as they go on sale. What’s stopping Sony from selling PS Exclusive for $100 only in their store?

Are we going to get restricted to only buying from Sony store or is Best Buy going to sell me a box with a digital code?

The intention is to make it hard to register to vote. Imagine if you are going through a hard time in your life and you forget to check your mail or forget to register, then you just can’t vote.

It’s hard for me to believe that there are a lot of illegal voters. If you illegally voted you will not be granted a citizenship so anyone with the intention to be a citizen will not vote illegally.

The solution is to auto-enroll citizens. The government can easily check my citizenship if they wanted to. They can send a ID letter stating take this to the voting booth if you don’t have an ID, but this bill is not going to get passed because the main intent is not to prevent fraud.

It’s also a huge waste of water but your City or HOA will force you to mow it. I share the same sentiment as you and would be happy to use the land for anything apart from just a green lawn which needs to be mowed.

This is just over generalization of your experience.

A primary care doctor should ask questions like if you are stressed out as it affects your life but they are not going to have a long non-medical related conversation because you are no longer a kid and also they won’t remember you until you go back the next time so why waste time when they can see other patients, unless it’s a psychiatrist. The questionnaire they have has all the required medical questions.

Doctors aren’t out to get your money. You don’t even pay them directly. Blame the health insurance companies for that. If they did want to take your money wouldn’t they make you do more tests and take more of your money? There are a lot of ways to get your money apart from anesthesia.

Maybe there is a different medical reason but it is certainly not to just to make your pay for anesthesia. I’m not in a medical field so I can’t into those details. However, I had some oral surgery and I refused anesthesia as I could handle the pain and didn’t want to pay more money. The surgeon didn’t force it on me. I’m not sure where you live but I hadn’t heard that we are forced to take anesthesia when it might not be required as it has its own risk. Why would the hospital risk that? Just to make more money when they can just order other non-risky expensive tests?

Also trains are slow and it takes the same time as a bus/car and costs the price of an airline ticket. This is comparing Detroit to New York via bus, train and airplane.

There is always pet fee for about $100 and I thought it’s for the extra cleaning. If the customer declined daily house keeping and kept the dog for a week in the room then they should be charged accordingly and not make the housekeepers clean it in the same amount of time as the other rooms.

During the orientation they said we aren’t allowed to reach out to grab water or any snacks while driving, no touching the screen or dashboard to make any changes. Drive and only drive with 2 hands on the steering wheel.

My DSP (Delivery Service Partner) didn’t care to enforce that. Most of them would have AirPods in and talk on the phone all the time. So we weren’t flagged for talking or singing. But having those rules itself is terrible. It was just my temporary job and I hated how those employees are treated.

What are the tracking now? If employees are actually working? There were no social distancing protocols but I’m assuming there are cameras to prevent theft.

Don’t see this happening everywhere. This is being done to save themselves from liability in an accident. They don’t have cameras watching their warehouse workers although they have rules like no earphones are allowed which are typical for safety in a warehouse or plant. I worked as an Amazon driver for a month. Everything they do or say is to cover their ass from getting sued.

Which car apart from Tesla doesn’t have a model name badge? Just curious.

No, they first listed the units which is Celsius and then converted it themselves and didn’t excepted it to be converted. No one is complaining that it’s not in F but rather that the units are missing.

[–] IamAnonymous@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

The comment asked to list out the units which is a common thing to do. You don’t list out a scientific value without its units. They didn’t say list it out for Americans. Maybe the study was done in the US and they listed it in F. How would you know? So who came in here with an attitude?
