But even with Sublinks, would Beehaw refederate with LW and SJW at some point? That's the core of the issue

UChicago Pritzker Molecular Engineering Prof. Y. Shirley Meng’s Laboratory for Energy Storage and Conversion has created the world’s first anode-free sodium solid-state battery.

With this research, the LESC – a collaboration between the UChicago Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering and the University of California San Diego’s Aiiso Yufeng Li Family Department of Chemical and Nano Engineering – has brought the reality of inexpensive, fast-charging, high-capacity batteries for electric vehicles and grid storage closer than ever.

“Although there have been previous sodium, solid-state, and anode-free batteries, no one has been able to successfully combine these three ideas until now,” said UC San Diego PhD candidate Grayson Deysher, first author of a new paper outlining the team’s work.

The paper, published today in Nature Energy, demonstrates a new sodium battery architecture with stable cycling for several hundred cycles. By removing the anode and using inexpensive, abundant sodium instead of lithium, this new form of battery will be more affordable and environmentally friendly to produce. Through its innovative solid-state design, the battery also will be safe and powerful.

This work is both an advance in the science and a necessary step to fill the battery scaling gap needed to transition the world economy off of fossil fuels.

We all know that content discoverability can be challenging on Lemmy.

!newcommunities@lemmy.world is a space dedicated about new and active communities.

We started a weekly thread yesterday about active communities (the requirement is to have at least one post in the last week), feel free to have a look at it and see if there are communities that might interest you!

This community has also been highlighted on Lemmy.world to increase its visibility

Finding moderators might be the biggest challenge

Interesting, but the issue is beehaw is that they defederated both lemmy.world and sh.itjust.works, so around 20k monthly active users out of the 50k of Lemmy: https://fedidb.org/software/lemmy/

Pinging @ForgottenFlux@lemmy.world, @neme@lemm.ee and @TheTwelveYearOld@lemmy.world as you seem to post quite a lot on this topic, what do you think?

Pinging @sag@lemm.ee @kionite231@lemmy.ca @Path@lemmy.myserv.one @otter@lemmy.ca as they were the last posters on the topic

Hello people,

Coming from the All feed, could you please configure this community to only have German as an authorized language in the community settings, so that the posts are correctly tagged automatically?

Thank you so much, have a good Sunday

So, do you plan to use this one? Shouldn't it be elsewhere to prevent Lemmy.world power tripping mods to escalate to their admins, and have that community removed?

By the way, feel free to comment with your community here: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/23541945

"On September 29, 2023, my phone rang. The caller: Julian Nagelsmann. His request: Return to the national team. My initial thought in my head: Am I crazy? First thought in my heart: Hell yes! As they say, the heart decided.

My first thought this morning on July 6, 2024: I'm glad I did it. Despite all the sadness and emptiness since yesterday's final whistle. I've seen more in this team than it has shown in recent years. But to have a truly realistic chance at the title and be on par with the best in such a short time—I didn't expect that! So I'm very proud of what this team has achieved! And all of Germany can be proud again. A special thanks to all of you out there who made this home Euro special. We've seen you, experienced you, and felt your support! On a personal note, I want to express my gratitude for the warmth and affection over the past few weeks. It was truly special.

And finally, a request: Now that Germany has regained its beloved child, don't let go! The journey of this team continues. And it makes a huge difference when you stand by them even during tough times! Because I can assure you: this is a group of fantastic people who give their all to succeed! Germany is back!

Lastly, I want to emphasize: Apologies and get well soon to @pedri! It was obviously not my intention to injure you. Wishing you a speedy recovery. You're a great player."
