No, they can't. You need a SAS controller for a SAS drive, there is no way around it

Those adapters only work for plugging SATA drives into SAS controllers. You can't use an adapter to plug a SAS drive into a SATA port

I'm not surprised. I drive an EV as a delivery vehicle, and it's pretty much the perfect use case for an EV. No engine that needs to be idles while you are out making deliveries, and regenerative breaking is very useful due to the constant stop and go
Had a similar thing happen with my Ioniq. Took 4 months to replace a broken transmission. How can you even engineer a single gear transmission so badly that it breaks after less than 100k miles? And although it was a warranty repair I had to pay for a rental car in those 4 months, which cost me over 2000€
