Awesome!

Now lets collude to sell it for $12 minimum an ounce, and use our wealth/media bully pulpit/bribed legislators to sue/buy out/threaten/slander any interlopers who attempt to make lemonade honestly at low margins for a reasonable price!

No matter how many times Republicans fight to revoke their rights, or disinvite them from their conventions, they just don't learn Republicans would Holocaust them if they could.

All for what? Because they're literally more passionate about tax cuts/cheats for rich fuck societal leeches than their very existence being protected in society.

"Sorry we don't live our lives for the opportunity to destroy ourselves for senpai company owner like you."

My supervisor doesn't know how to maintain what I build, despite me attempting to show her. At this point, we openly pity each other, her because I have no desire to do more than what my job entails, take the paycheck, and leave to go live my life, and I because she proudly has no life to go home to because she spends 12 hours a day plus here acting like Jesus on the cross for the greedy, indifferent owner.

Hey, before I accepted there was no hope, I was pushing for such things. I'm far from special in that. Inside every cynic is a disappointed idealist.

And if there were a serious movement that was advocating doing more than peacefully protesting a cow statue on Wall Street as the planet and species enemies laughed out their windows above them, I'll be there with bells on, as I imagine most current doomers would.

But the sun will sooner set in the east, and doing such things alone is just suicide with extra steps and just as helpful.

Capitalists:

The capitalists do trickle down onto the rest of America, it just isn't prosperity. Even worse, we export our sociopathic market capitalist behavior, encouraging other nations to treat their citizenry like disposable capital batteries for their elites... and our multinational oligarch leeches.

I feel shame for what we're doing to the world every damn day, spreading market capitalist hypergreed and tools of mass death like a fucking virus.

It's flexing power.

Their central pursuit of capital is just the pursuit of power to wield over others.

At scale, beyond meeting personal material needs/wants, that's what capital becomes, power over others.

You can fuck off and indulge all your hobbies in a mansion on the beach for the rest of your life long before you hit a billion dollars, but at those levels you want to influence elections/culture and control ever more people and resources. I consider it mental illness, I wish the rest of our society did as well.

they don't care how they get more job done as long as it's done.

That is a ridiculous assertion.

Employers in the US absolutely care about flexing power for the sake of flexing power. It's why many are against WFH (for their employees, not themselves of course) despite it being shown not to decrease productivity,

Do you believe employers desire for ever MOAR somehow doesn't extend to having more perks and time than their underlings? Employees having more days off DEVALUES the employer fucking off for drinks and golf, oh I'm sorry "networking," at noon every day by comparison.

Of course there are exceptions, but the larger the employer, the fewer there are, as growth/metastasis is a reflection of the insatiability of the employer's greed. The ones with any temperance eventually stop, the ones that are incapable of being satiated don't.

Sometimes, you just need to wipe the drawing board clean and start over. πŸ€·πŸ‘‹ πŸ”₯

Would I hurt other people in some strange hypothetical to literally save my family's life from certain death? Maybe, and I'd be guilt ridden about it for the rest of my life.

Would I hurt people to make more money? Of course not, and that's not a defensible reason to hurt others... at all, and it makes you deeply broken at your core, especially as habit.

Really the only thing I can think of as a more horrifying reason to be cruel to others than "for money herp derp" would be "because its fun!"

Hurting others for profit in the name of business shouldn't be a defense, it should be considered an admission of guilt and come with consequences.
