I haven't experienced that personally but Reddit's Imgur has also cracked down on VPNs and many hosted pics and gifs will not load, depending on your selected server.

I heard of some web frontends that had this feature. Idk how they're called but I think there were at least 2.

Geddit also works well as an open source, no-account needed, Reddit browser - https://f-droid.org/packages/geddit.buzl.uk/

Looks like Infinity is subsciption only. Just learned about Red Reader (from this thread) and it so far appears to be free, with also having anonymous browsing. Just info for anybody who might be interested in either.

EDIT: At the expense of RedReader's interface being absolute garbage lmao
