Everyone deserves a standard ammount of respect.
Depending on their actions they will either earn more or loose what they have.
I will not respect a person more just because they have managed to stay alive for longer.
I learned that respecting your elders just gets you disrespected without consequence when I was young. Now I just give an acceptable amount unless given reason to stop.
