English is still not a Romance language
Also, we still use Latin letters, even though they're poorly suited for a language with >15 totally distinct vowels (17 in my specific dialect).
And then we use them badly on top of that, but orthographic reform-jerking is another Lemmy community.
I'm interested. What community is that?
