In .ml, yes. Your post and comment can be very easily removed for arbitrary reason but usually anti-communism, regardless if it's factual or not. For example, your comment is removed because you criticise communist country and they don't like hearing that.

ml's folks, especially the mod and admin, have a very thin face, just like communism leader, and will only accept anything good said about communism. My comment got removed for misinformation because i said china trying to claim my country's sea as theirs.

There's also the micro-aggression going on with .ml, they could talk shit about anyone but if you use the exact point at them, your comment gonna get removed.

It's very similar to what china is going through right now. In general, just don't interact with them.

Live and learn. thanks for the answer.

In .ml, the clowns that moderate that shitshow will remove/ban you for simply being a “lib” or “blue MAGA.” And yes. These were actual reasons for removal/ban in the mod logs.

If you ok, there’s mods that remove under rule 1, yet you can see plainly that the comment removed does not break a single rule.

I’d advise to block that shithole and forget it exists.

Anytime. Hang in there friend.

I think Lemmy is some times so far left to the point of absurdity. If you point out that absurdity people will still downvote you.

I’ve seen far left folks practically suggesting that Biden isn’t doing enough reign in Israel, so we might as well elect Trump. When I point out that no, actually that would be worse, we should still vote democrat, people will downvote with a straight face. Like what position are you actually advocating for with those downvotes? Some times it feels like folks would rather walk off a cliff than hold a somewhat moderate opinion grounded outcomes and reality here.

[–] diegooooooo@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago (1 children)

People who downvote please try to articulate why, I'm baffled.

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 10 points 1 week ago (2 children)

It depends on the community, instance and your post.

My advice is to simply not care that much about bans and move on.

Unfortunately since your post was removed we can't see what you actually wrote, and since you didn't post which instance the community is part of, we can't use that to give you more information.

Unfortunately since your post was removed we can't see what you actually wrote, and since you didn't post which instance the community is part of, we can't use that to give you more information.

Let me help.

It's a totalitarian dictatorship that sucks at running the country. There's very little food and decaying services blackouts and the like, political violence and prisoners. I know a lot of cubans (because those that can run away) and everybody hates him and the regime (at least those outside). I know the US block makes thing hard, but that is not the only responsable. I'm a leftist btw, so this is not an attempt to inflame. You can not justify such a dictatorship because the doctors are very good or some other superficial stuff.

Imo it's very level-headed comment.

Removed reason: Mccarthyist propaganda

Banned reason: Anticommunism

[–] timewarp@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

So they banned you from speaking to show you how fascist your ideas were. The irony.

[–] diegooooooo@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Dude read the post that I retrieved, how is it fascist to be against dictatorship. I dont like the US.

[–] timewarp@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's my point. They're acting like fascists while trying to claim you're the fascist.

[–] diegooooooo@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

Sorry English is not my native language and misunderstood.

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Humm, I don't think this comment is that bad other than relying on the word of regfugees and just taking their word on the issue.

I can see how communists would classify it as propaganda.

One thing that sticks out to me is that the comment talks very matter of factly about that which it seems OP doesn't have experience with.

OP states "there's very little food and decaying services blackouts and the like, political violence and prisoners"

First of all OP, don't state this as fact unless you have proof.

Anyone can make a text post, unless you have proof you could write something like the following:

From what I have heard about Cuba, the situation is bad, I have heard about food scarcities, decaying services, blackouts and political violence, if this is true it is terrible.

[–] diegooooooo@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

It's in the news right now the blackouts and a while back happened the biggest protest since the revolution citing lack of food and medicines. A camera panning of people in the streets shows people with improvised belts since they lost much weight. It was not a peer reviewed paper but c'mon it seems acceptable.

[–] diegooooooo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (3 children)

Worldnews at lemmy.world Correction lemmy.ml

[–] diegooooooo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

It was about the material conditions and the human rights in Cuba.

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

In my experience lemmy.world seems to be mostly accepting of different views, but that is hardly any scientific measurment, so based on that I can't say anything.

And without the original post's content I can't give any judgement/explanation either way.

[–] diegooooooo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

The comment is deleted I can not see it even on my phone, it was on worldnews not some political one.

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

After checking the community I am going to have to press X to doubt.

That community has been closed for months.

[–] diegooooooo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

It said Peter Link to World News@lemmy.ml cross-posted to: worldnewspalestine@lemmy.mlcuba@lemmy.ml I think it was World News@lemmy.ml, but I'm not completely familiar with Lemmy.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Just lurk in the .ml instance for a while to get a feel for what they cheer and dislike.

All instances have their own flavors and that’s one of the cool things about Lemmy.

Personally I like to criticize China, Russia, North Korea and Cuba along with everything else so I get a detention there occasionally.

[–] diegooooooo@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The banning because of reasonable views doesn't seem cool. I started posting because it seemed cool to interact with other people. Thank you for your answer.

[–] Soup@lemmy.cafe 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

That’s how .ml is. The mods are immature cowards there.

[–] diegooooooo@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

There managed to retrieve the post:

It was prophetic to talk about blackouts before the one going on now.

[–] fart_pickle@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yes, it's normal. Lemmy is a left-wing echo chamber and anything that's not aligned with the point of view of a given community (even if it's supported by scientific proof, valid concern or reasonable doubt) you will be downvoted, ridiculed and/or banned. Just ignore close-minded mods and users and be yourself.

The fediverse is formed by a lot of servers that contain each communities. Each server still has some room for their own ways of doing things, so there can be nuances to be paying attention to.
