Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

T: "Hello my friend, I need your advice."

P: "For you my dear friend, I will give it gladly!"

T: "Should I sell weapons to your enemies?"

P: "No, it is not a good idea, I strongly advice against that."

T: "Thank you for your clear and unbiased answer, that is all I needed to hear"

I wonder if T has a functioning neuron in his brain

Functioning is contained in malfunctioning.
So only if that counts.

Shares the orange braincell with the cats?

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 17 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That's unfair to cats. They actually have the capacity to love.

And to share. But in trump’s case they choose not to.

Edit: I wouldn’t share either.

I wonder if that was before or after this supposed interaction:

T: I said to Putin, ‘Don’t do it, Vladimir.’ And I told him things that what I would do. And he said, ‘No way.’ And I said, ‘Way.’ It’s the last time we had the conversation.

Yes that's an actual quote from his Musk interview.

Did he play air guitar after that?

T: "Thank you for your clear and unbiased answer, that is all I needed to hear"

More like:

T: how much is that worth to you?

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 76 points 2 months ago

That was not "asking for advice", that was "receiving orders from the handler".

He asked Putin for help while campaigning, so zero surprise here

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

First read this as camping, and pictured him in shorts and a tshirt with a Maga hat drinking a Schlitz in a folding chair by a camp fire, asking Putin on the phone how to make a smore.

I want that AI art done in the style of Mad Magazine covers like this.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Yeah it's the "help me I'll help you" scenario, again.

How is this legal in the US?

[–] match@pawb.social 2 points 2 months ago

i think it's about time americans learned some anarchist theory

It's not, but it's not enforced.

Don Jr. boasted of using Russian money long before the election. Trump has been a useful idiot for them since the 1980s.

[–] cabron_offsets@lemmy.world 20 points 2 months ago

Gotta please the boss.

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Putin is the worst person you could ask.

[–] ours@lemmy.world 13 points 2 months ago

Cops ask robbers if they should protect banks.

[–] baru@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Not if you are a grifter and have leverage on the other person.

[–] itsonlygeorge@reddthat.com 1 points 2 months ago

Of course he did.
