It's not, hence why they didn't do it. The Secret Service does need to protect trump for the rest of his life, unfortunately, since he was a US president, and he was never held accountable for his ten thousand crimes as president.

You don't accidentally accuse the current president of enabling political violence against their rival who has already had two (maybe three if the talk of Iran's plans are true) attempts on their life. OP is calling this evidence of Biden's danger to democracy in other comments in this post.
