Rotten Tomatoes has introduced a new audience rating called Verified Hot that filters users who can be confirmed to have bought a movie ticket.

Waitaminit, wouldn't this rating be subject to effort bias, i.e. One thinks more highly of things that one has paid money for?

I know I judge mediocre movies so much more harshlier when I had to waste money on it.
