"Let the States decide" my ass

Let us corral the fish into many small barrels to make shooting the fish easier. Divide and cuntquer, there's nothing new under the sun with these fucks

Don't worry, it's on the ballot. I'm hopeful, Missouri has a real weird habit of electing the most batshit right wing people but voting for basically every left leaning ballot measure

Clear sign that the government is not representative of the population and election reform is sorely needed.

Oh no the government is plenty representative of much of the areas outside the deepest Urban Metropolitan parts of Missouri. As long as the legislation does not trip one of the pavlovian bigoted triggers of most missourians they will support it. But typically if it's too supportive of minorities or has anything to do with Democrats most will refuse to support it just to spite themselves.

There is a reason Lucas Kunce. The Democrat running to unseat haulin' ass Hawley. Has put out campaign advertisements. That look like they are from the states and fascist republicans. Makes no verbal mention of Democrats or any related Democrat terminology. Like Progressive etc. I think maybe for a half second at the end of the advertisements as they're flashing the small print that everyone ignores is the only place that it even acknowledges that he's the Democratic candidate.

In suburbs and exurban areas. The brainwashing is so common and complete. There's really no hope of winning them without some sort of sea change or generational change. Well that and replacing a lot of the lead pipes. Missouri has a decent lead pipe/led poisoning problem.

Turns out that people tend to vote for progressive policies when given the option in fair elections.

That's why the reactionaries love forcing such ballot measures to be worded confusingly and/or use loaded language.

[–] Irremarkable@fedia.io 2 points 2 weeks ago

Bingo. They know everything they stand for is unpopular. They have to rely on the electorate being stupid to win. And through long hard fought efforts to cripple the Missouri education system as much as possible, it's a pretty reliable bet.

Apparently Missouri loves company.

Goddammit....

Spread the Missouri...

Missouri loves imposing itself in other states' politics, as Kansans could tell you.
