Best Warhammer movie to hit the silver screen!

My professional opinion? This ship is fucked.

Such a good movie!

Finally a science fiction horror film where the black guy is the leader, doesn't get killed first, and has ALL the sense:

"I have no intention of leaving her, Doctor. I will take the Lewis and Clark to a safe distance, and then I will launch TAC missiles at the Event Horizon until I'm satisfied she's vaporized. Fuck this ship!"

I used to fall asleep to this every night. Looks like I am tonight as well! Thanks for sharing!

Glad you found a nice movie to enjoy your nightly trip to the other realm. Mine’s “Dune” by David Lynch…

That's another one I def like watching in bed.

The trailer reminds me of 'sphere' but in space not under water

Kind of accurate as a vague comparison, but Event Horizon is far better.

[–] xorollo@leminal.space 3 points 3 weeks ago

I liked sphere. I did not like event horizon. It's terrifying.

So sad that we'll never see what it could have been...

[–] QuantumSparkles@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Yeah I’d kill for that Directors Cut but from what I’ve heard it might have literally been destroyed

The reels were kept in a salt mine that was too humid

Yep. When trying to find the footage for the 2 disc dvd edition, they discovered it was all ruined sadly.

The producer once said at a comic con event that he had a VHS tape of a work print but nothing was ever mentioned again.

I believe Shout Factory had a good rummage when preparing their Blu-ray bit also came up empty.

I found a forum posting years ago where the second unit director described all the gory hell shots and how they used physically disabled people with missing limbs to achieve the effects. Sounded brutal.

Saw this movie when I was like 12 or 13 and even though I used to love horror movies when I was a kid this was legit the scariest shit I had ever seen.

great movie, insane though.
