I didn't realize you could even run for GOP lesbian

[–] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 11 points 3 weeks ago

It's a pretty open field - there isn't that much competition for it for some reason.

[–] eran_morad@lemmy.world 10 points 3 weeks ago

Gotta have a token gay.

[–] tiredofsametab@fedia.io 25 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

I must be really tired because I was trying to understand how one is a candidate to be a lesbian. I think I need a nap.

[–] DarkDarkHouse@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 3 weeks ago

Maybe you need to use the sleep

[–] GraniteM@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

It should probably be written "Lesbian GOP candidate." That seems to follow the secret unwritten rules of word order a little better.

I still think news headline format needs to die. Japan is actually on to something with their long ass light novel titles.

Actually though what does this even mean? It's also not interesting enough for me to click and find out. If only the title was a properly structured sentence I could tell if the article is something I would be interested in reading

Cocaine babies are a legit issue.

[–] Nurse_Robot@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago

Handcuffing and arresting infants is a poor solution to this problem

[–] HairyHarry@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago

I love the woosh you've created.

[–] triptrapper@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Why do you say that? I don't see anything in this article that references cocaine babies. And in what way are they a legit issue? It's an incredibly rare phenomenon and prenatal cocaine exposure doesn't have any consistent or defining characteristics.

You must be made of solid gold cause you're dense as fuck.

Cuffed a baby, apparently. I feel like we're not getting the whole story. Who would do that.

[–] Leate_Wonceslace@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

How the fuck do you put a handcuffs on an infant?

wire cuffs; reinforced zip ties.

[–] Mediocre_Bard@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

zip ties, the metal reinforced ones are called wire cuffs. get used a lot at protests and other mass arrests, too.

[–] rigatti@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

She handcuffed an infant...?

[–] chemicalprophet@lemm.ee 1 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Black cop or lesbian GOP. Who’s the biggest traitor?

black lesbian cop, who is of course in the GOP.

I don’t think we should be shaming Black people who go into LE. It’s probably one of the only ways we’ll see real change. People tend to be less racist when they interact with people of other races

I think we should be shaming anyone who goes into LE, ACAB; melanin doesn't change that.
