MODERATORS

Another day, another dumb thing Republicans are mad about. It looks like they’re running out of things to pin against Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

After Harris named Walz as her vice presidential pick, Republicans went looking through his record to find something they could go after him for. What they settled on, apparently, was a law Walz signed that made sanitary products available to “all menstruating students” in public schools.

Now, they’ve nicknamed the vice presidential hopeful “Tampon Tim.” It’s the kind of insult that makes the entire GOP look foolish and immature. Honestly, I'm not sure they realize it's a compliment.

This gage me the worst fucking mental image which I am going to overide with a simple chant.

BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE KILL KILL KILL

Good thing we've got plenty of tampons for all that blood.

If this doesn't become official merch, it'll be the first misstep of the campaign.

"I know how we can win this election. First we alienate the blacks. Then we alienate the women. And then we am become president."

Pink Floyd - Dogs

Worth reading the lyrics if you don't feel like sitting for a 20 minute song. Very relevant to the republican mindset. hell, the whole album (Animals) is fairly relevant.

Pink Floyd - Dogs

I read the whole song's lyrics and I found absolutely nothing that has to do with what I was talking about. Here's the most confusing part:

4 Minutes of: Stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone, stone

Isn't the whole album based on Animal Farm? Might as well just read that, since you could probably read the whole book in the time it takes to listen to a Pink Floyd album

In this country, you gotta alienate the money first. Then when you alienate the money, you alienate the power. Then when you alienate the power, then you alienate the women.

Girls are gross! We can't vote for a girl and her period loving tampon guy! Yucky!

Brought to you by the campaign for Donald Trump for middle school class president.

[–] Cryophilia@lemmy.world 25 points 1 month ago (2 children)

He should toss tampons to the crowd at his next rally.

[–] Plopp@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago

Great idea. Lean into it. Get the crowd going and take ownership of the term.

[–] magnetosphere@fedia.io 19 points 1 month ago

Former Trump adviser Stephen Miller said: “There is no universe where a man who gives tampons to teenage boys is going to be next in line to be president.”

Uh, it’s looking more and more like it’ll be this universe, Miller. Breathe into a paper bag or something.

I doubt it'll ever actually happen, but I'd love to see news/media stop using (R) for Republicans and change it up to (W) for weird.

Similar to when (probably satire) Ted Cruz was listed as as (R - Cancun), can't seem to find the image I'm thinking of, so if anyone else has it please link!

They thought they were really on to something there, too. A dispencer showed up in a boys' bathroom, and they can't contain themselves with that HS bully vibe. 0 to do with them, no impact what so ever but it's such an affront to their sensibilities they lash out like a 4 year old who can't get a 3rd cookie.
