Remember this next time a republican speaks against wealth redistribution. They are in FAVOR of wealth redistribution. They want to take money from the poor and give it to... Themselves. All we are asking for is that the fruits of our labor benefit us.Taking wealth from the billionaires and giving it to the people isn't theft. It's justice.

And in stead, this happens:
I hate how accurate this still is
So how do they expect this whole wheel to keep turning when average people can't afford basic necessities? Society doesnt work when the rich have literally all of the wealth. We'll devolve into roving tribes raiding billionaire bunkers.
Why devolve? Why not start now?
Yes, my chieftain.
Society doesnt work when the rich have literally all of the wealth
That's absolutely true. The thing is, though, that they don't WANT a society that works. The worse everything, especially government, functions, the better for them.
To them, the total collapse of civilization is an acceptable consequence of their greed and lust for power.
If only facts and policies actually mattered.
It was very clearly their one overarching necessity during the general insanity of Trump's admin. Everything else they fought over and frequently failed at, but the trillion to the wealthy was overwhelming, united front, and the first major thing through Congress. Everything else was leftovers and pandering to less important people like their base.
They were tripping over themselves to get it done. There were literally handwritten additions in the margins.
