I'm glad at least a part of us citizens are helping to steer the ship, a lot of political parties are willing to change positions of they see they're losing support. Germany is (slowly) ditching windows for example, the Netherlands wants to leave American cloud services, Denmark is promoting EU products. The fact that there are opposite forces working against this change, also proves it is starting to have real impact. I hope so at least.

Germany is not ditching Windows. Some federal states do, while other dumbass states go full Office365
Orban: that big ship sail where I permit it. I am the king of the EU. And Fico is... important too. Yeah, we both shit on the whole Europe and they are even paying us for that!
We should make an email/mail template if we want many people to contact their MEPs.
Well, yeah, the only alternative is China and Europe would rather be conquered by the US than peacefully work with communists.
a stratified society with a single ultrapowerful dictator is not indicative that the CCP are actually communistโฆ
Whether they are really communist or communist-in-name-only is irrelevant to my point, Europe will not work with them because they claim to be communists and so it will choose to be conquered by the US instead.
They can't even do State-level investment in building a tech infrastructure because the Eurozone currency bloc prevents deficit spending.
Europe isn't as brainwashed as the US when it comes to communism. The reasons the EU doesn't want to rely as much on China is because of the human rights violations, lack of ethics, lack of social provisions, environmental issues, broken agreements and abuse of power for example.
It's a really nuanced and complex issue, just shouting communism bad seems like a strawman that has nothing to do with the real issues.
Large parts of Europe have social systems that in the US would be labeled as communism. There are places that investigate and have run trials on things like UBI. There's more to the world than communism and capitalism. And for my own two cents, both systems are deeply flawed.
